Re: How is my wife doing based upon these two screenshots from OSCAR

Here is last night's OSCAR screenshot. MyAir said 20/20 for leaks knowing MyAir is very basic. Looks like from OSCAR it is scattered although Michele is sleeping well. Should a leak rate be scattered or more flat line? She might try the gel nasal pillows for the same Dreamwear mask that she is now u...

Re: How is my wife doing based upon these two screenshots from OSCAR

Thank you so much, Pugsy, for taking the time to read OSCAR.
I informed my wife and we are good to go.
She is sleeping well and feels much better with CPAP plus stopping maintenance chemo as per Johns Hopkins.
She received a second opinion and that was a Godsend. Kind regards to you!

Re: How is my wife doing based upon these two screenshots from OSCAR

I took three screenshots. One is from Saturday, one from Friday, and one (low leak) from Thursday. Pugsy (or others) let me know what you think. My wife really loves the Dreamwear headgear and nasal mask. She tried the pillows and did not like them. My wife, as you have read, has Stage 4 cancer so s...

Re: How is my wife doing based upon these two screenshots from OSCAR

Hello and good day! I can load up a screenshot or two from OSCAR, however, I wanted to start simple. Michele has been having mask leaks based on the MyAir app. Last night was 14/20. Friday 12/20, Thursday 17/20, Wednesday 10/20, Tuesday 18/20, and Monday 18/20. All that said, her AHI events are alwa...

Re: Ramp start up

My wife's ResMed For Her was set for ramp up at 4. This was way too low so we changed it to 5 and then later turned it off altogether. She then started at 5 and we went up from there and now start at 6. Granny suggested even higher which we will probably do another time and make it 7.

Re: Cleaning heated hose

And use a 50-year old profile picture. I am just seeing this many years later since I only recently joined this forum. If that truly is a 50-year-old profile of you and you are not teasing us, you looked absolutely beautiful. I am sure you look beautiful today, just a couple of years older. :D BTW:...

Re: How is my wife doing based upon these two screenshots from OSCAR

Thanks, ladies, for joining in with the conversation. Just having Stage 4 cancer alone is overwhelming and adding in CPAP therapy just tops it off. All that said, Michele truly enjoys using the Airsense 10 with the cushion mask. She even uses it when she takes a nap during the day which is usually e...

Re: How is my wife doing based upon these two screenshots from OSCAR

Thanks for all the tips!

She is wearing the nasal cushion mask after trying the pillows and not caring for the in or near the nostrils.
As long as the AHI's are good, I guess she is good to go at this time?

Re: Seeking General Advice on New Machine

I second the vote for the Airsense 10 For Her. My wife uses it and is doing very well.
It does have a leaf design, however, if you are a guy, you can either leave it alone or add some decals.
You can use the For Her setup or whatever you choose in settings. For Her gives the extra third algorithm.

Re: How is my wife doing based upon these two screenshots from OSCAR

Thank you, Granny. Your answers have helped. Her pulmonologist just started everything on a generic basis. A ramp of 4, etc. After reading much on this forum, I stopped the ramp and changed the pressure to 5, and then inched up to 5.6. She said she seems fine starting at that pressure, however, mayb...

How is my wife doing based upon these two screenshots from OSCAR

My wife (Michele) is a newbie CPAP user. She also has Stage 4 cancer so is tackling both cancer and the new CPAP (APAP really) regime. I had attempted to follow regulations and posted under a former post, however, did not receive any responses so my apologies for starting fresh I guess. Hopefully, I...

Re: Female newbie needs recommendations for mask

screenshot-20210322-141010.png Hello to all who have been helping me understand the world of CPAP or in my wife's case APAP therapy. Here is a screenshot if this is the way to upload. I am just curious based upon this one night how did she do? The AHI looks good. If that is good, is there anything ...

Re: What's the best (easiest) way to clean your PAP mask + supplies?

Nasal pillows--baby wipe, maybe once a week. Hose--never Tank--when it looks nasty Headgear--when they stretch out and don't fit properly Machine--dusted when the dust is visible. My germs are my germs--once they are mine, they cannot hurt me. I am a newbie caretaker for my wife who is the one usin...
