Software for Resmed VPAP Auto 25
I have not been on here in ages. When I tried a few months ago, something was wrong with the password system. Anyway, my Respironics bpap auto m broke and the DME didn't have a replacement and gave me a new Resmed VPAP Auto 25. I think I was doing Ok with it but recently I have been breathing throug...

To get into the setup for the bipap auto M -- unplug machine - hold both arrow keys down while replugging it.. (Is that a word -- replugging???) Then enter setup with the + key. Use the + or - keys to go through the setup menu and change options with the arrow keys as desired. Josie, I won't fail y...

Nasonex, Flonase etc
I don't know if you are using a spray like Nasonnex but if you are, this might help.
My ENT told me to spray the Nasonex to the outside, away from the septum, as that is where the problem usually exists with nosebleeds. Haven't had one in weeks and I am doing 1 spray in each nostril twice a day.

Yes, you need to see a doctor
It can be a lot of things, even blood pressure. Has your BP been taken lately?

Re: I agree with Barb
I have been using this Neil-Med Sinus kit for about 4 months now. My ENT suggested it early on when I started having nasal problems from CPAP. I normally use it each night before I go to bed. Since things have gotten worse I have been using it multiple times a day hoping it will help. (I do find th...

I agree with Barb
Get the Neil-Med Sinus irrigation kit at the drugstore and do it! There are many other kits and devices but this one is about $12 for a great bottle and 100 packets to mix with filtered or distilled water. Believe me, it is so simple and so wonderful to feel clear. When I first heard about it I said...

What took so long?
Was it the downloading of the actual Encore Pro program or the downloading of the data on the smartcard?
Where did you get the software and what kind of smartcard reader do you have?

Maybe it's too loose
You know, I heard so much about not making the Resmed Mirage Activa tight that I might have left it too loose. The loosest it ever was, was last Sunday night were the red mark was really a bad bruise (after 7 hours) and even blistered a little. It is still very sensitive today, three days later. The...

Cflame1 said I don't have one of these, but for other masks that I've had this problem (or something similar) I've used moleskin. Have you tried that?? It goes on the mask, not on the skin. Never tried it but I will. I wonder if the others on here used moleskin on their Activa? Jcastle said: I use ...

Nice transposition
You can see that I am tired by my spelling: Presironics. What I forgot to add was that the Sullivan vpap did not have a humidifier. I don't know if that would add to the vacuum created.

Bad Redness w/ Remed Mirage Acrive Mask
I sleep so well with the Resmed Mirage Activa Mask but it destroys my nose putting a 1/2 painful red band across and even part of the way around my nose. I tried putting Vitamin E on it and it really stung. The patient advocate at Resmed suggested that I buy 3M Microfoam (not micropore) tape and put...

Activa cutting into nose
Are any of you finding that the Mirage Activa slices into the bridge of your nose, about 1/2 inch below where the nose meets the forehead? I can use it for about a week and after that it gets bad. The edges on the Activa are sharp for plastic.

Oh boy,
That is really awful. Would they do that not to buy a $200 software package? Couldn't it be possible that the insurance company wants the DME to download the information and mail it to them? And, isn't it also possible that the insurance company doesn't want to pay the thousand dollar premium for th...

Originally-Resmed vpap III
Originally my doctor prescribed a Resed vpap III. I have no idea if he asked for a card but I doubt it. The insurance company wanted the card and the DME told me that because they wanted the card, the machine had to be the Respironics. I guess Resmed has no cards

Auto or Plus
Ric,
I want to get as smart a machine as possible. However, it is impossible to tell which is smarter the Auto or the Plus, since they both have auto and is the Plus the auto plus more? I'm trying to read about it but it is hard to tell, at least from the Respironics website.
