Re: Using ice for cold air?

Please share your actual NUMBERS.
Preferably with your DOCTOR.
If there is an actual problem, it is unlikely putting ice anywhere will help.
I remember someone trying ice, but it was for COMFORT, as I recall.

Re: Starting soon.... One more question.

Exactly, Sheriff.
I did the daily thing until I noticed it was really hard on the stuff I was cleaning.
My stuff lasts a lot longer now.
The DME is none too happy, but I am fresh out of effs for them.

Re: Starting soon

You have our collective permission to be the biggest badass you can be. You have a RIGHT to your data, and people here will help you understand it. We are not obliged to do anything that is not in our own best interest. Certainly not to make any lazy provider's life easy! Be polite, but FIRM. Your l...

It took me around 3 months to find my groove.
This is not uncommon.
Hang in there!

Re: personal, at home sleep apnea test?

Some doctors do not trust the patient to have "too much" information.
Been there, so, yeah, it happens.
They don't really need a reason.

Re: personal, at home sleep apnea test?

Sleep studies do often have the ability to assess position vs events;
but the provider$ are rarely motivated to provide that information to the patient.
You can probably $ee why.

Re: side sleeping

My sweet bullfrog has been doing it by sheer willpower. Lately, it's been quite a bit more difficult, as he is recovering from a fractured sternum suffered in a recent auto accident. (Not our fault) He was unable to side sleep on the right for a month; and 2 months later, still cannot sleep on his l...

Re: Resmed 11 humidity pot runs out of water

The water pot on my new Airsense 11 runs dry after 6 or 7 hours. My air pressure setting is 10. The humidy setting is 5, and the humidity in my bedroom is currently 65. Heated tube setting is 78 degrees. I don't understand how the company's Product Development could have approved a water pot mistak...

Re: Adventures with boiling

. . . the rubber . . . Not rubber, but silicone, please. There is no rubber (latex) in any cpap equipment, due to allergies. Simmering silicone parts in water and baking soda can help. Full or extended boiling might be unwise. My nuwave induction hob allows better heat control than any other cooktop.

Re: OT.....Trump falling asleep in court

I already know from before cpap, 3 hours of sleep left me very difficult to deal with.
Sometimes, I appeared to be a raving lunatic.
I guess it goes with the territory.

Machine NOT broken--Yay!

Last night, my machine was putting out very little air, though the display showed the pressure going up past my minimum. After checking hose /tank connections, and generally freaking out, I withdrew a piece of paper that was blocking the AIR INTAKE! SILLY, STUPID FROG! To think, I used to prank my c...
