Better nasal pillow - Swift FX or Aloha?

Post by CzechCzar » Sun Dec 15, 2013 7:47 pm

I have been researching nasal pillows, and these two seem like the best. I am inclined to try them both, but they are expensive. Does anyone here have experience with one or both of them?

I have used both. For me it was almost a toss up in terms of preference except my long term preference for "less on my face"...so the Swift FX won over the Aloha but it was close.
Others prefer the Aloha for various reasons.
There are always lovers and haters of every mask out there.
If you have tried the Swift LT..the Aloha to me reminds me of an improved Swift LT which was my main mask until the Swift FX was released. I tell people if you liked the Swift LT then I imagine that you will really like the Aloha.

I have used both. I did like the Aloha better as it was more comfortable for me. I later moved onto the Nuance Pro nasal mask now as it's more comfy than the Aloha! Have you looked at the Nuance pro?

Hey CzechCzar,

That is a really good question. One that I had to find out for myself. If you add the Nuance Pro in the mix, here is my order of preference:

Swift FX
Nuance Pro
Aloha

Please keep in mind that there is no one mask for everyone as face sizes and shapes are different. To me, these three are all very close but if I had to choose only one, it would would be the Swift FX!

I like the Aloha (better than the PR True Blue nasal mask I had been using), but I haven't used the others to give you a good comparison.

The soft fleece covers are comfortable on my cheeks. The head gear fits my head pretty well. The swiveling connection to the small hose allows me to direct the exhaust air either up or down easily. The pillow is pretty comfortable against my nose (once I set the headgear to be fairly loose).

I'll add the FX Nano into the mix. Best mask I've used. I used the Swift FX for her before I tried the Nano, and the Nano definitely wins out!

Fit depends on your own facial shape and dimensions.
The Swift FX is probably the most popular, partly because it has been around longer.
I can wear it, even though the headgear is somewhat large for my face.
My favorite at the moment is the Nuance--the gel pillows are incredibly cuddly.
Another nasal pillow is the Tap Pap (it has NO headgear!)

They are both the best pillows on the market. I prefer Aloha because it's nowhere near my eyes and I can wear it looser and still get a good seal. That said, the swift LT is still a good one , too

I prefer the aloha to the swift fx. Haven't tried the nuance.
