Re: Smart Start or similar on your machine....Do you use it?
I use smart start. I don't use the auto shutoff because my wife gets up later in the AM, and I don't want to disturb her sleep with 5 seconds of high leak wind noise.

Re: Aloha Mask - Price Increase
price increase isn't that bad if you consider that with the addition of a spare filter, the order would qualify for free shipping.

Looks like to me, looking at their website, that the injector fitting wont work with a heated hose.

Re: Hose Positioning - How to stick hose to quilt?
I use this hose hanger
https://www.cpap.com/productpage/flexib ... -lift.html
It has eliminated leaks from my hose falling off the bed.

Re: How do you power off the resmed S9?
For the S9, The Smart Start feature is located on the clinicians menu.
Why do they put things that are purely convienience/comfort features in the clinicians menu?

Oviouslt not OT...
our local FOX carries NASCAR.
Nothing puts me to sleep like NASCAR. I had a really nice 1 hour nap on CPAP yesterday watching NASCAR.

Re: Greater leakage rate with nasal pillows?
Roger,
Did you update the mask type to nasal pillows on your S9? The S9 uses this setting to account for the intentional leak from different masks.

Re: Travelling with CPAP. Do you use distilled water?
My DME suggested that I use bottled water that has some additional filtering (ie drinking water) when distilled is not available.
That said, the one business trip (2 nights) I have been on since I got my hose, I used tap water and had no issues.

Re: CPAP and SCUBA
As a diver who recently started CPAP thearapy, here is my assessment. My CPAP prescription is 9cm/h20. So when I am on CPAP, my pressure is the equivalent of 3.5 inches of water. Since the dive tables are built around 10ft steps, and my dive computer assumes surface interval begins when I surface pa...

Re: Seeking Temporary Solution for Bruxism/Jaw clenching
My wife has a mouthpiece from the Dentist for Bruxism. The dentist told her, while she was waiting to get the dental one, not to use a sports one. The dental mouthguard is hard, not giving any purchase to your teeth, so that the teeth slide in the guard. The sports mothguards are soft, intended to p...

Re: New Member - Need Advice... Where do I Go?
Based on the way you ask the question, you have been using CPAP and you machine died or it was a rental and without your insurance you cannot afford to continue the rental. Your doctor should be able to write a prescription for you, hopefully without an office visit. They just need to check your rec...
