Re: Help-BiPap machine won't turn on

Check your filter and see if it is clogged up. The other night my machine wouldn't start. My filter was pretty dirty, so I changed it and it then started. Just an idea.

Re: nasal pillows with a night guard

I have used a night guard for many years. It's not hard to use pillows or any other mask with one. It won't block breathing out of your mouth at all.

I love my élan and use it exclusively. The small cushion was what it took for me to be really successful with it.

I love my élan! I use the small cushion that I ordered separately. I find it comfortable and it works well for me

Re: Brand New ResMed Autoset & Elite H5i

People on this forum are generally very kind and helpful. However, when someone new shows up, only looking for a sale it raises suspicions. Especially since your posting is very unclear. You have listed two different machines, a humidifier, and no mask.

Re: epic fail

Are you using the small cushion? I think you need the small. Watch the video, warm the cushion in your hands before putting the mask assemblage on, be sure to keep it all clean, hmmm let me think if I have any other tips. Adjust it after you are laying on your side. And it's just DIFFERENT. There wi...

Re: still here

I think the élan takes patience. When I first tried it, I didn't think it would work for me and set it aside to send back. Ten one night I decided to try it one more time. I was more patient and got settled in with it and had a great night. My suggestions: get the small cushion if you have a small f...

Re: Apria v. Lincare: please chime in

My local Lincare branch was much nicer and more willing to work with me than any other DME's on my approved list. The RT wasn't particularly helpful, but she did get what I wanted - to a point. The supplies people are separate and call to see if I need anything. All in all, I would rate them Ok, but...

Re: Weight GAIN after starting cpap

I have been on the hose for 6 months. I have gained 6 pounds! I am sleeping good, my ahi is usually less than 1. Go figure. I was waiting for magical weight loss, but it's not going to happen here. I am going to have to step up the exercise because I already eat pretty healthy.

Re: Lincare Scum Bags

I don't love Lincare or anything, BUT, my local Lincare has been pretty good. Wait - well, they were pretty good setting me up and then I havent' heard from them since, The re-order people are ok, and the billing helped me pay my machine off last December before my insurance changed and I got hit st...
