Re: Cost of ResMed S9 AutoSet, H5i HH, & Accessories
How do you manage to get the ClimateLine down to $19? I'd order one right now from CPAP.com if I could for that price. I see $51 on their site.

Re: Whoops, I forgot to put back the SD Card
PR S1 users who forget to have the SD card in the machine only lose the wave form flow data. AHI and all the other graphs and event breakdowns are still there. All you have to do is insert the card and let the machine write the data to the card..doesn't take long. Now I don't know how long it is st...

Re: my closed mouth fills with air
I think we all have experienced that. Get used to holding your toungue back a bit and on the roof of your mouth. You can actually close the entry to your mouth and the air cant get in. Sounds like you could use a chinstrap also. This is exactly what I did. I will continue for a month or two with th...

Re: What do you do to stay asleep?
My gf had/has sleep apnea but opted for the surgery years ago. There is still some snoring. I had about 90 apnea events per hour during my test, so that explains why I've always remembered waking up at least a dozen times during the night every night. Now on the CPAP, I'd doing much better. At first...

Re: Mask Question
The next time you talk or see your DME, ask them to clarify if it's the cushion or the mask you can renew every 6 months. I know everyone's insurance is different. Mine is 6 months for a mask, up to 2 cushions per month. So basically one every 15 days vs one every 180 days is a huge difference.

Re: Sleep doc recommends stopping cpap. Use for 10-days
You may want to consider switching your machine into APAP mode and test out to see what your typically pressure is set to. With the changes in your physical condition, I'd imagine it's possible you need different settings now. I concur with the rest that you should seek a new doc though.

Re: Help picking the correct Nasal Mask
As others have said, it's a very personal choice. And do yourself the favor to take the time to find the right one as it makes life much easier. I loved my Mirage FX. Very, very comfortable, light, and smooth. Unfortunately, it was so soft, that to get it to conform to my face I had to keep it at me...

Re: Stuff my DME told me
Love my DME. Very cooperative and they also let me try masks on before choosing and taking one home. And yesterday when I swapped, try let me return a couple hours later as I wasn't perfectly happy with the fit (turns out I needed a smaller size on the new mask). Best this though was when my RT said...

Sl33py...I found the same thing, only in reverse direction!! I started out with the small and thought it was fine, until I decided to get a medium because of allergies and "thinking" bigger might be better! Well, sure enough it WAS better! Going up to mediums just seats better against my nose and v...

Re: Hose Dilemma...Cat Stew anyone?
I let the cat sleep in the bed, and yes, he has bitten holes in my hose. I figure they aren't that expensive so I keep a spare on hand. For a quick fix, take that plastic cling wrap and wrap it tightly over the part with the holes, and then put duct tape over the cling wrap. (I just have the plain ...

Re: How often do people replace their cushions?
I'm on my first, but I've only been using my machine for 10 days. My insurance allows 2x/month. I intend on get a few early on (next year we have different insurance) and checking out pieces online so I can "build my own". Want to build up a backup and maybe take one to my girlfriends. The CPAP mach...

Absolutely take it back. You were specific. The order-taker (ignorant of the difference) provided a different product. And be sure to specify next time, too. If she gets condescending, remind her that THEY screwed up the order last time. Totally agree with you. BTW, absolutely love the tagline in y...

Re: Can the S9 water chamber be empty and still work ?
Yes, called ResMed. One can set the humidity to ZERO, NOT put water in the chamber, and use the ClimateLine tubing to heat the exhaust air. But one must have the humidifier in place to use the ClimateLine heat. That doesn't sound right to me. Yes, you need the humidifier to be attached to use the C...
