Re: Refurbish or buy new?

Insurance covers it, but makes you suffer for it, and must get it from one of those giant private equity owned DMEs. I’m talking about refurbishing the one I have, rather than buying a refurbished one. Probably $400 vs $1000 I completely rebuilt my AS10 Autoset... the motor was 130USD on Amazon, th...

Re: Screamin' Deal on Airsense 10 Elite

Hey VDBTR I hope you are well. I'm new here, so hope this post is OK. I tried to send you a pm to ask about this, but for some reason couldn't get that to function How are you finding the "new" software. I've heard that is a bit "clunky" and not a smooth easy fix? I would appreciate any feedback on...

Re: Camping at Elevation With Sever Apnea Again, Please Help

Well there SweetCheeks let's review: Two car batteries in series should power any machine ... Do you know if the OP has the same machine they had 10 months ago? Have no clue what machine they used, then or now. I did not find the 'smoking' reference in the ResMed guide... is that what happens when ...

Re: Bleep Eclipse Machine Mask Setting

Pillow. Any mask with the small feeder tube (Evora, N20 etc) I set to Pillow.

The Mask setting just adds another resistance to the algorithm... the machine punches up the delivery more when it thinks there's more resistance. Feel free to play with these, they're kinda like EPR.

Two car batteries in series should ...
...turn your CPAP machine into a puddle of molten plastic.
What is it about 24vdc that you don't understand? Perhaps electronics is not your area of expertise, as it is mine.

Re: Cleaning with CLR

Vinegar is best. CLR is not recommended for any medical application. See if you can get him off it, here's the MSDS, note 'wear protective clothing':

Re: Camping at Elevation With Sever Apnea Again, Please Help

Really not sure what machine or batteries you're using... if you could describe them by showing links or naming the model that would help. Also are you combining them or using them one at a time? Two car batteries in series should power any machine with water and heat for a week. There are now large...

Still looks like it wants you around 8 or 9 base level. Or just leave it where it is... no biggie, you're doing great.

Re: Concerned/Worried - New Air Sense 11 AHI High

So stay off your back and/or let the pressure go higher... keep those leaks down. Looks like it wants you around 8cm base level... IMO. Does this look like a leak rate issue or positional to you? I went to sleep on my back and woke up on right side. I think you may right about pressure needing to b...

Re: Starting soon.... One more question.

Sounds very time consuming. How long would you say it takes every night or day? The monthly things are not much... 5min to rinse and sling the hose, 5min to wash the cushion. Averaged over a day that's 20sec/day. To rinse and fill the tub takes 2min. I do that every night. Not sure what your concer...

Re: side sleeping

Has anyone had success decreasing their apnic events by learning to sleep on their sides instead of their backs? Sleeping on my sides has been the way I've done it for decades... it is not good for my shoulders but definitely helps the apnea and (on my left) the reflux. CPAP has cured the reflux bu...

Re: Starting soon.... One more question.

I only rinse the hose with very hot water right before use. I do this about once a month. It will dry with use if you sling the water out from both ends. I replace the hose every 6mos. I do not leave the hose wet. I rinse the tub thoroughly before each night's use. I use tap water for both rinse and...
