For what it's worth, my allergist helped me get a handle on nose-clogging with a combination of Flonase and Azelastine sprays, plus a Montelukast (Singulair) pill before bedtime.

And although I naturally breathe through my nose, my mouth tends to open at night. I successfully used a combination of a snore collar (to keep my jaw in place) and Somniflex mouth tape (to keep my lips from parting), and now all I need is the tape.

very close. like this-

Suggested Support Order for your charts
Event Flags
Flow Rate
Pressure
Leak Rate
Flow Limit (Only for Resmed machines, not on Respironics)

take out your mask pressure graph which will give you the space to put in your flow limit graph.

yup, you got some high ahi there.see on your pressure graph, how your pressure goes up to 9 or even higher and stays in that neighborhood? i would suggest you raise your minimum to 9 and see if it goes after your hypopneas.

btw, do you sleep on your back?

Hey zonker, sorry I didn't show it like I should have. There is just so much data and I got lost.

I believe I fixed it up like you requested. I see what you are talking about my pressure going up and staying high. I'll go in and adjust the minimum to 9 as per your suggestion for tonight. No, I do not sleep on my back. I've always slept on my sides. Many times throughout the night my mask will wake me up from all the air it is blowing out. There is so much air that it blows out around my jaw line and sometimes around the bridge of my nose. It gets so aggravating that I'll reach over and turn the machine off then immediately back on.

I believe I set the minimum to 9 in the right area?

If you don't ever sleep on your back then most likely the increased pressures correlate with REM stage sleep cycles.
The 2 things that can cause OSA to worse and need more pressure....supine sleeping and REM stage sleep.

I have the REM worse OSA myself. The key to dealing with it is set the minimum pressure high enough so that the machine can get to where it needs to be to prevent the airway from collapse in a timely manner.

Sometimes when the minimum pressure is more optimal it doesn't end up needing to go quite so high and leaks associated with higher pressures are sometimes reduced. Also fitting the mask at a higher pressure might help with the leaks as well.

Woke up a few times from air rushing out of the mask.

Are you fitting the mask at the starting minimum of 9 cm or ramp at 4 cm or at the higher maximum of 18 or so.
Fitting for 9 cm pressure isn't going to work at 18 cm and if you look at your leak graph.....the large leaks seems to correlate with the higher pressures. It's just harder to maintain a good seal at those higher pressures.

Hey Pugsy, I'm fitting at the 5cm ramp. Are you suggesting I should fit at 9 cm? I'm assuming the higher the pressure, the more snug or tighter I need to fit my mask to my face? Is there a way to fit it at 9 when first putting the mask on or do I need to wait until it ends the ramp?

Use the mask fit check feature available on the machine. It will use a higher pressure for you to test your fit. I think something around a 90/95% pressure so that it can best anticipate the fitting needs at the higher pressure.

If you don't know about the mask fit check feature it's explained in the manual.
It gives you around 3 minutes or so I think at the higher pressure to get things better situated.

I have my ramp at 7 and CPAP at 9. What does the feature “mask fit” use 7 or 9... or its own set pressure? Resmed Airsense 10 Autoset.

I did find myself waking up again to air blowing out the side of the mask, so I tightened the straps a little and that helped a little.

Here is a better view for the time I was using the machine.
