Re: Highest total hours?
An older thread, but thought I would post anyway. My Resmed S7 has 49,863 hours on it. I've had it since sometime in the early 2000's. About 10 or 12 years ago, I put a relatively new fan in it that I bought on eBay. It's starting to get a bit noisy, though. Might be time for a new machine, but my ...

Yes... worth a try.LordofthStrings wrote: ↑Wed May 22, 2024 2:45 pm@vandownbytheriver
Thanks, I'll try that. Just to clarify you mean 9-11 with a PS of 2 then?

Re: Is there anything other than ASV I could try?
IMO raise ePap 1 and lower PS 1... try it a night. You might need more CO2 in your mix.LordofthStrings wrote: ↑Tue May 21, 2024 9:08 pm
I've thought about increasing the pressure because I noticed while looking over my data last night that the waxing and waning pattern got waaaay worse every time the pressure was lower.

Whatever... just get your 11 and enjoy it, and be aware of the many issues. I have heard nothing about a fix for the hose issue. Good luck.

Re: OT.....Trump falling asleep in court
Note.....I have never lost a post/reply with this error. I just keep hitting "resend" and it finally takes and I check to make sure. Hasn't happened often that I have had to do that. One of the lucky ones... I ctrl-A ctrl-C every post before I hit Send or you can rest assured it will disappear into...

Re: AirSense11 Air Leak
The Airsense 11 has a known hose connection issue, watch this video and see if you have this problem:

Re: Aircurve 10 ASV vs 11 ASV ?
I prefer the 10 series due to the longevity in the market and the larger, more robust motor. The ASV series was not available in the 11 until recently. There have been firmware issues with the 11 series, resolved by a series of updates... they included a microphone to listen for problems, I assume r...

Re: Is there anything other than ASV I could try?
Is 6.2hours a typical night for you? When I get that much I just refill the humidifier and put on a blindfold and go back for more. 2am is late, eh? Any caffeine dependencies we should know about? Without SleepHQ graphs we can't zoom in. My O2's looked like that until I got big pressures. With PS3 a...

Re: OT.....Trump falling asleep in court
The only time in the US a person can be forced to undergo medical treatments is when they are physically or mentally incapacitated. Or if they want to keep their job as commercial pilot or driver. There is zero chance someone with Trump’s personality and public persona would ever consent to a sleep...

Re: Airsense 11 Water Leak
I have replaced several tubs. You are correct that heat seems to be necessary. I tried repairing the old-style AS10 tub and wound up cracking the plastic... otherwise I think it would have worked... just very difficult to get apart. I have the tube of food-grade silicone left over from that experim...

Re: Airsense 11 Water Leak
You should replace the tub. You can test the old tub by filling with water and letting it sit... but it may not leak until heated. Tubs are supposed to be replaced every six months according to RM. Brownish water is a sign of rust or corrosion and is not good.

I just got one of these thinking my o2 levels were lowering during the night, but after checking for a few days, it isn't I don't have any use for this anymore, so if someone ins interested, I'll sell it for $80.00, plus whatever USPS shipping is. I would assume 10 bucks or less. I have everything ...

Re: Mouth Tape?
I tried several tapes. The MedVance Silicon Tape is by far the most comfortable. No irritation when I take it off in the morning. https://cureandcareshop.com/collections/silicone-tape I bought a roll from Amazon and tried it. It comes off, doesn't stick to my mouth. CRST is the stuff. Good and chea...

Re: ResMed AirSense 10 "Smart Start" Doesn't Shut Down
So I assume something is wrong with this small tube, even though it's new (3 weeks of use) and doesnt seem to have any damage. The machine has a leak threshold which sets when it thinks you've taken off the mask. The small tube allows enough back pressure so that the machine does not feel you've ta...

Re: transcend micro
All CPAP units run the motor up and down... they have to to keep a constant pressure when you're inhaling and exhaling. The best units do it so quietly you can't hear it. Travel units are not the best units.
