6+ Months of CPAP and still exhausted

Post by goodfella7763 » Mon Apr 15, 2024 6:00 pm

I've been consistently using my CPAP for over 6 months now but only feel marginally better. I've had an SD card in the machine but just finally ran OSCAR and I'm lost in the numbers.

A few notes:
  • Switched to pillows mid-January which helped leak rate quite a bit
  • Sleep test AHI was only around 15 which has certainly improved with CPAP but I wouldn't say my sleepiness is any better
  • Otherwise I consistently sleep 7-8+ hours a night and always use CPAP
I've been monitoring stats in OSCAR but I have no idea where to begin with adjustments.

Here's my sleepHQ data. https://sleephq.com/public/49ab293f-015 ... 0768aa1339

I tried uploading my O2 ring data but it didn't seem to work... does only the ring sold by Sleep HQ work with that site? Mine looks identical to the one they have (including data requested when I uploaded) but I purchased from Amazon/Wellue.

Anyway, I was exhausted Sunday. Couldn't stop napping. I do take adderall for adhd which helps during the week. I would be nonfunctional without (as I am on weekends when I try to not take it). Other medications include xyzal for allergies and lospartan potassium for high BP (diagnosed around the same time I got put on CPAP).

How old are you?
Male or female?
How is your overall sleep quality? Wake often during the night or sleep soundly for the most part?

You're starting at 6 but it immediately jumps to 9.5cm... you should start with your Min around 8cm looks like.

SHQ treats the Ring (same ring btw) as a 'machine'... for free SHQ you only get one 'machine'. If you pay the 150$ for a year you get the full deal. Some of the items for sale are not a good deal for USA, they ship from AU, that adds 35USD, plus the delay. The notification about the AS10 Elite sale, now *that's* solid gold, thanks Nick! 299USD for a brand new machine that has a modem for MyAir/AirView... only issue is it's not APAP. Sleeplay dot com, code BESTPRICE, see the discount in the shopping cart.

Since I've joined I've added three machines plus the O2Ring (bought from Amazon)... no issues.

Thanks for reply. 29 male. If it wasn’t for being exhausted I would think I sleep pretty well. I don’t wake up in the middle of the night often, once a week at most and I generally get back to sleep quickly.

Thanks for reply. I actually just linked the wrong day. Link in OP is last night (Sunday) which I forgot to wear my O2.

Here’s the link for Saturday including O2 data (2 week trial for upgraded account): https://sleephq.com/public/efd286a3-6fc ... 1418affc55

I think the early pressure jump is accidentally holding my breath while getting settled in / saying good night to my partner. I’m trying to be better about it, but I’m definitely not asleep at that point. Would you still recommend the pressure bump?

Yeah... if you can tolerate it... that's where it seems to want you, at 8cm... you're on EPR 3.

See the OA's at 12:33? Any chance you were rolling over then? Looks like if you skew the ring clock back 4min it lines up with Movement, you popped two OA's then. We're in the olden times, when everything wasn't automatically sync'd to satellite universal time... check your ring and box clocks.

Not worried about the O2 desats... upping the pressure should help there too.
