Re: Is myAir any good?

Hi! I was unfortunately given a brick because I didn’t know any better. My insurance company will not let me have an auto because my AHI is always well below 5. Most don't care, they pay the same amount for an auto as a brick. it's your DME that's likely screwing you over. You are probably exactly ...

Re: Is myAir any good?

Thanks! I will change to the APAP and give it time. I think the nasal pillows are working better than the full face mask as long as I tape my mouth right now. I so want to be successful on the machine and am trying to be positive about it. I am sure my partner has sleep apnea and that might not be h...

Re: Is myAir any good?

Hi Pudgy! Thanks for responding! I am not getting nearly enough sleep yet. I am in bed around 10:00 every night and fall asleep quickly for the most part. My time sleeping is slowly getting better, but 6 hours would be an amazing might at this point. It is broken up after about 4-5 hours. I don't kn...

Is myAir any good?

Hi! I was unfortunately given a brick because I didn’t know any better. My insurance company will not let me have an auto because my AHI is always well below 5. My pressure is set at 13. I saw a sleep doctor and he wants me on an auto starting with a range from 11 to 17. I am good with that, but of ...

Re: Mental Health Improve?

I'll let others talk with you about machine data. In general regarding getting an APAP, knowing where the effectiveness of your treatment stands could help you know what to push for. Someone on a relatively low pressure will not be so likely to benefit from a auto adjusting pressure. What is your p...

Re: Mental Health Improve?

Yes on mental health improvement. These are quotes from my family: "Thank you for finally going to the dr., it's making a big difference. Not just the snoring" - my wife "You're reminding me of the dad I had when I was a kid" - 32 year old daughter "You're like a different person dad." - 30 year ol...

Re: Mental Health Improve?

I want to talk to the new doctor about an APAP and maybe trying a nasal or pillows. I think this is a very good idea, Sissy. The Resmed Airsense 10 AutoSet For Her is an excellent machine that has both APAP and CPAP modes. Also it is fullly data capable which means that you can monitor your own nig...

Re: Mental Health Improve?

Yes, I will say that I had a positive mental adjust after starting treatment. Also, with better sleep, my body requirements for medications used to treat attention deficit disorder, dramatically changed. [ different type at a much lower dosage] So yes, I believe there is a positive good connection ...

I would like to know if others mental health improved greatly after treatment. I was just doing life...happy, active, gym rat, healthy eater and out of nowhere I hit the wall with exhaustion, insomnia, anxiety, and depression. ... This started about 4 years ago. Re: Mental Health Improve?

I am wondering if I need an APAP instead of a CPAP. I woke up at 4:00 this morning with my heart pounding. Today I feel horrible with internal jittering. I know I am early in treatment, but most of that had improved. I see a sleep specialist !nday, so hopefully he will look at my SD card and give me...

Mental Health Improve?

I would like to know if others mental health improved greatly after treatment. I was just doing life...happy, active, gym rat, healthy eater and out of nowhere I hit the wall with exhaustion, insomnia, anxiety, and depression. I had many different diagnoses. Doctors tried hormone therapy (estrogen, ...
