Swallowing Air

Post by jwesbrooks » Wed Dec 05, 2018 6:30 am

I have been on CPAC for over 1 year. The first 7 months everthing worked well and really got great sleep. Now I find I am feeling bloated in the morning from
swallowing air all night. I have tried raising my head with more pillows.....then I really don't sleep well
I have had the Dr. lower the volume of air......still having swallowing air problem......

What seems to work for others with similar problem?

Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forum.

What machine brand and model are you using? What are your pressure settings? Using any exhale relief (if your machine has some available) and if so at what setting?

First thing I usually suggest is add in exhale relief if possible.
Since we don't know your brand and if it has any exhale relief or if you are already using it...hard to offer any ideas.

You might look here and see if there is an idea you haven't tried.

I use Resmed 10 machine. I had them lower pressure a little bit but still have issues with swallowing air.
