Re: Is Uncle Nick losing it, or onto something again?

Care to explain? History. Attitude. Attacks. Inaccuracies. Misleading info. Motives. Etc.: https://www.cpaptalk.com/viewtopic/t185591/Another-reason-not-to-trust-Uncle-Nicko.html?start=75#p1428847 But you do you. I prefer the 10 CtC over the 11. But the S8s may be my overall all-time faves, especia...

Re: AirCurve 11s are in But

There are what feels like a gazillion forums, blogs, YouTube and FB cpap info sites that haven’t reported some problem with any of the cpap machines out there. On the Airsense 11, there has been reported concern, the malfunctioning humidification heater. I have the 11 and experienced the failed heat...

Re: Is the ResMed Airsense 11 Humidifier issue fixed / workarounds okay?

I have a AS11. The humidifier problem is it can stop working. Mine did after a year. Errors messages would occur on the display but the machine still operated. It pushed out cold air in place of warm moisturized air when the error occurred. I contacted my hospital sleep clinic so that they could poi...

Re: AS 11 Humidifier and Heated Hose Suddenly Stopped Working

I did try the unplugging/plugging it back in, did not work. Somewhat of an update - my DME finally picked up the phone so I didn't have to go down to their retail store in person after work. They required me to get a repair/replace letter with my therapy settings from my doctor so after that hoop w...

Re: Question about possible mold / bacterial contamination

Hello, I recently started using an AirCurve 10 at night about 3 months ago. I made a mistake... Up until now, I would clean all components at night right before bed but neglected to empty the water tank in the unit during the day, so the tank sat in the unit during the day. Nothing really had a cha...

Re: Sour Body Oder since I started with CPAP

My wife has been complaining that lately I have a bad sour body odor similar to mold. The humidifier rarely needs cleaning if you use distilled water and take normal precautions. I would say you need the shower, not the humidifier. I’ve used nothing but distilled water, and in the first few months ...

Re: Dry mouth nosemask vs. FF mask

Hello all I wear a nosemask and am moderately bothered with a dry mouth. The advice seems to be to change to ff mask. I would like to get an idea about how many have been helped doing that. Grateful to hear from you, whether it helped or not I was issued a nasal pillow then later nasal masks with t...

Is this normal or am I doing something incorrectly?
Thanks in advance,

Are you cleaning, not just rinsing, your water tank regularly, at least a 1, 2 or 3 times a week?

Re: OT:::::Medicare Advantage plans "are taking over Medicare and they are taking advantage of elderly patients,"

This has probably been mentioned before but...... Medicare Advantage plans are great for SOME people, not so much for others. First and foremost I am willing to pay for the right to go to the doctors I choose, based on my needs and convenience: A pulmonologist, a retinal surgeon, electrophysiologis...

Re: Medicare and Masks

Hi All. I have a question about Medicare CPAP supply coverage. I have been using CPAP for 17 years and have been on Medicare for the last 2 1/2 years. I have ordered my usual Nasal mask from time to time with no problem. But My Doc recently wanted me to use a FFM when necessary due to some congesti...

Re: New User: Cleaning CPAP Machine Humidifier Reservoir

If you use distilled water in the humidifier you will have no hard water staining or buildup. If you use distilled water only all you will have to do is top off the tank. No need for disinfecting because nothing will grow in there. I believe all the manufacturers recommend distilled water only in t...

Re: Rookie mistake, tossed my other masks

The respiratory therapist at the sleep study clinic where I went suggested to me at the beginning to keep all masks I’ve tried. I’m a year in and have accumulated nasal pillows and 2 types of nasal masks. I currently use and is happy with the f30i. I’ve been holding on to the other masks but don’t s...
