Re: UARS but normal AHI RDI but Many spontaneous arousals
I see that you’re looking at my past posts and quoting me, Actually you are quite incorrect. I wasn't talking about you at all and in fact I didn't even go back and read any of your old posts. I was talking to Rubicon (that's what it means when I quoted him) about some insomnia stuff in general bec...

Re: UARS but normal AHI RDI but Many spontaneous arousals
I wish some people had replied to this with good info. This question has been answered dozens of times. The problem is people don't like the answer. Which is: You can't fix bad sleep with a CPAP machine. What....the machine can't fix all the world's problems including delivering world peace???? Dam...

Re: UARS but normal AHI RDI but Many spontaneous arousals
I wish some people had replied to this with good info. I’m in the same situation, but I didn’t have UPPP. I had double jaw surgery in 2021. I’ve used CPAP, Bipap, VAuto, ASV, a range of different pressures on each machine, mouth tape, cervical collar, chin strap, etc. and nothing has worked to get e...

Re: Aircurve VAuto S Mode
S mode won't let either EPAP or IPAP to vary at all no matter what happens. VAuto mode allows for both EPAP and IPAP to vary depending on what the machine is sensing going on. I know LankyLefty/Jason is a big promoter of fixed mode of anything but he doesn't walk on water and what he says is NOT th...

Aircurve VAuto S Mode
What is the difference between VAuto mode and S mode? When using S mode, will EPAP and IPAP always be at the pressure you set it to? For example, if I set EPAP to 10 and IPAP to 14, will the EPAP pressure always be 10 and IPAP always be 14? Or does it fluctuate based on what the machine determines y...

Re: Anyone able to sleep on your back with your machine?
I used to sleep exclusively on my right side and never move, but now I'm having some back pain and some shoulder pain and I turn right side, back, and left side a few times a night. I'm most comfortable on my back these days. My AHI is still great (0.2 - 0.3) with variable pressure. I used to stick...

Re: Anyone able to sleep on your back with your machine?
Thank you. I don’t know why, but I’ve been kind of afraid to try sleeping on my back. I’m always worried about my jaw dropping, even with a cervical collar and mouth tape. If you apply mouth tape properly, it's impossible for the jaw to drop with or without a cervical collar. How so? Maybe it won’t...

I need a minimum pressure setting of 10.0. On my sides, 7.0.

Do you use a cervical collar or chin strap to keep your jaw from dropping?Dog Slobber wrote: ↑Sun Oct 01, 2023 3:12 pmI sleep on my back virtually 100% of the time.
My AHI for has been 0.31 for the last year.
I set my minimum pressure close to what my needs are 13cm.

Anyone able to sleep on your back with your machine?
Anyone able to get restful sleep while sleeping on your back and using your PAP machine? My nose always feels congested when I sleep on my side, and I’m just more comfortable on my back. And I’ve been using a cervical collar, and it’s really uncomfortable side sleeping. Do you need more pressure whe...

Re: More To Feeling Well Than Low AHI and No Leaks
When we don't feel the nice low numbers as we expect we should then we need to look elsewhere for the cause of any unwanted symptoms. Do you take any medications of any kind? If so, what? Do you have any physical or mental health issues that could be impacting sleep and/or sleep quality? How many h...

Re: More To Feeling Well Than Low AHI and No Leaks
Hey man, just found your post. Same exact problem here. My AHI is always really low. 0, or close to it. But my sleep always sucks. I never feel rested. Every night and every morning sucks. I’ve been thinking it’s UARS. Lots of arousals l, but not many obstructive apneas or hypopneas. I get Central a...

VAuto Pressure Chart
I have my VAuto set to the VAuto mode (Max IPAP 20, Min EPAP 7, and PS 3). My Oscar chart since beginning VAuto shows a flat line all night for the EPAP and IPAP. EPAP 7, and IPAP 10. It doesn’t go up or down. Isn’t the purpose of a VAuto is that it’s supposed fluctuate the EPAP and IPAP within the ...

Re: Back sleeping
I’ll definitely get one! Do you have to use a higher pressure when sleeping on your back?ChicagoGranny wrote: ↑Sun Aug 13, 2023 3:14 pmGet the collar. It's a cheap trial. My pressure needs are much lower when wearing a collar. I sleep on my back.

Back sleeping
Do any of you sleep on your back with your PAP device? I’m sure you might need higher pressure, but my nose is definitely less congested when I lay on my back. I’ve been avoiding it because my jaw drops when I fall asleep, but I want to try a cervical collar to see if that helps.
