Re: New F & P Nasal cushion mask called the Solo

It does not look as if the hose has much of a swivel movement?

Is the hose the same as for your other masks.?

What is the fit pack option?

Re: F&P Vitera mask broke....

Thank you to both of you..Pugsy and Van... I will follow up further... those deals are far better than what I can achieve here ..in New Zealand ( Ironically F&P is a NZ Company) !..go figure. Shame one cant buy the all the components separately. The piece that broke is actually the last piece that I...

F&P Vitera mask broke....

My full face F&P Vitera mask broke when I was fiting it a few nights ago! It broke at the top of the rigid plastic frontal back bone piece where it clips to the headgear plastic piece on ones forehead. Has anyone else experienced this issue? The bummer is one can not purchase just this piece without...

Re: My provider

I am a happy user of the F&P Vitera. There are three sizes available, hopefully you got the right size... if not, a fit kit is available with all three. .......... ...... c) With front hoses, you have another item in your leak arsenal. I find that I'm wrangling the hose to reposition it and prevent...

Re: Best pillow for side sleeper

These memory pillows work for me.

I have the high side at the back and the middle curve accomodates my mask at the edge.

Re: How can I lower AHI?

Just asking...

Are the AHI figures posted by the O.P not considered to be a pretty good result?

I would like to know what the "patient" started at before therapy and how does the person actually feel.

Blowing my own trumpet...AHI -low events achievement

Its hard not to become a little focussed on numbers and results even if its not the main game. Last night I hit 0.6 AHI Events...and I was delighted to have gone under 1.0 I have been in the 1.6 to 4.8 range for a while...and I feel great every day. My Sleep Therapist said "dont get caught up in the...

Re: Backing up SD card

You could have ingested the data into OSCAR. Some doctors refuse to trust OSCAR, an open source program created by volunteers. Professionals have the software supplied by the machine making companies, and need to read from the card. They would not need to use OSCAR. They could use the Data in the "...

Re: Confusion over cleaning hose/tubing

I give mine a rinse thru with a sanitiser solution occasionally ..when I think about it ...maybe every 2 months. I hang it to dry over the heated towel rail. I sanitise it because it possibly has moisture in it and moisture can mean a home for mould. ( Most house moulds are harmless) I am not compul...

Re: Can a CPAP machine truly revolutionize life?

Fatigued from waking up feeling utterly drained, akin to being struck by a bus. Will embracing this device truly transform my existence? Anticipation mounts for my upcoming appointment with a sleep specialist next month. Yearning to reclaim the vitality I once knew, I eagerly await the prospect of ...

If you are self-managing, using OSCAR, and don't need to send your data electronicly, get a ResMed AirSense 10 AutoSet (card-to-cloud).

If you need to send your data to care providers or insurance get a ResMed AirSense 11 AutoSet.
FWIW:
'The Resmed10 Autosense also sends data to care providers.

Wow...I can see why some could not afford that.! I was referred by my cardiologist and GP to a Respiratory Specialist..here in regional New Zealand. An at home sleep test was recommended and undertaken over the course of a single night. I was wired up with simple devices and a recorder that I attach...

Re: How does CPAP prevent apnea?

Hello, I have a question for experienced friends. I really can't wrap my mind around this issue. I use a Cpap device, not auto. With constant 8 pressure. As we all know, these devices give us air as long as we breathe. For example, when I put on the mask while I am awake and consciously hold my bre...

Re: using a borrowed machine

My neighbor has sleep apnea but he does not have insurance therefore can not afford a sleep study. My CPAP machine is set at 11 pressure. Could it hurt my neighbor to use my machine at 11? My thought was, better to have something than nothing. What do you think? How much would a sleep study cost (w...
