Re: New to CPAP - Quick Question regarding leak
Oh ok. Thanks Pugsy! I am still naive with my knowledge and expectations of this therapy. I have oscar and am trying to learn my graphs but still can't determine what is normal /abnormal. I was under the assumption the machine would notice the event and then try to instantly get me out of it, but I ...

New to CPAP - Quick Question regarding leak
Hello everyone, I just wrapped up my first 90 days on CPAP! It has honestly gone way better than I expected. I did have a question however. Last night was my first night with new nasal pillows because the prior couple of nights I was registering large leaks which I now have possibly attributed it to...

Chin strap or mouth tape
I just switched from a full mask to a nasal mask. Last night I had a large leak and I recall waking up because my machine turned off so I think I had opened my mouth during sleep. Do you all recommend a chin strap or mouth take and if so, which ones to prevent mouth opening/breathing. I am wrapping ...

Re: Newly Diagnosed CSA... scared
I did yes. It’s the only way I get a green happy face. I tried the F&P Simplus Full Face mask that I used in the titration study but the machine said I wasn’t getting a good seal with that one.

Re: Newly Diagnosed CSA... scared
So just an update. I've been using the normal ResMed Airsense 10 Auto for a few days now at 18 pressure. I am using it with a F&P Evora Full Face Mask. I am having Green Smiley face leak symbol every morning, and my AHI went from 58 from the sleep study to under 5 on average (Last night was 0.5). My...

Re: Newly Diagnosed CSA... scared
No my titration was just on a regular CPAP. I think it may be insurance related. I have a call into my DR to ask.

Re: Newly Diagnosed CSA... scared
Thank you both. I’m new to all of this and having health anxiety doesn’t help. The Dr said I have been dealing with this for years and now we have confirmation of what it is and I should be feeling better after treatment. I just got scared of the central sleep apnea component as I have never heard o...

Hi everyone, 47yr old male recently diagnosed with both OSA and Central Sleep Apnea. I figured i had OSA because I am overweight and snoring runs in my family.
