How much longer until Resmed stops Airsense 10 C2C production?
Hi, After reading so many good thing about Airsense 10, I am thinking of purchasing Airsense 10 C2C from our sponsor, to replace my DS1. From what I found online, Airsense 10 was first introduced about 10 years ago, and the C2C was just released recently. So, I was wondering, how much longer until R...

Re: CPAP recommendation (DS1 alternative)
It's very different on Philips machines. They call it "Flex" - I too found it intolerable. Ah I see, so that's what "Flex" setting is. Did you turn it off? Does it mean your machine doesn't lower the pressure when you exhale? With "Flex" off you have no exhale pressure relief. Thanks a lot!

Re: CPAP recommendation (DS1 alternative)
I see, thanks! Is PRS1 = PR SystemOne? It was my old machine. Yes, that's correct PRS1- PR System One and "flex" on Philips machines = EPR on Respironics. I turned it off after a time because it increased the noise (that PRS1 was noisy compared to the ResMed) and I didn't need the pressure relief. ...

Re: Airbreak.dev has released instructions on how to jailbreak Airsense 10 CPAP
Ok I posted a comment on the thread. I would LOVE to be able to jailbreak my device but am not quite sure how to go about doing it. There is a risk to bricking the device so I would like to see the community get some more information and experience with this firmware. I have a ResMed Airsense 10 Au...

Re: CPAP recommendation (DS1 alternative)
Wow, thank you so much! I will check Lanky Lefty. Btw, what's the benefit of C2C? Easier analysis? It is *exactly* the same machine as the other AS10 Autoset except there is no modem, so no MyAir. In fact, the series of serial number/unit numbers are *locked out* of MyAir/AirView. Since I use Oscar...

Re: CPAP recommendation (DS1 alternative)
EPR is "Expiratory Pressure Relief". I can't remember if that's the term used on Philips machines, but all machines allow you to adjust the settings to have up to 3 cm of pressure relief during exhalation since some people find it uncomfortable to exhale against pressure. This is something most peo...

Re: CPAP recommendation (DS1 alternative)
+1 on ResMed... I own three of them, an S9 (first machine), an AS10 Autoset (22000 hours on it!), and a new AS10 C2C. I feel sorry for those that got on the Philips/Respironics bandwagon and got hit by the multiple recalls etc... I don't think I could trust that company again myself. There are a fe...

Thanks for sharing your experience. Btw, what is EPR?babydinosnoreless wrote: ↑Sun Feb 04, 2024 7:24 pmI have the Air Curve 10 vauto. I much prefer the higher pressure support available. I have tried setting the PS to 3 which is what a regular autopap set to an epr of 3 would mimic and I just can't sleep.

Re: CPAP recommendation (DS1 alternative)
I disagree with the premise that some algorithms can't be "more comfortable" than others. My first machine was a PRS1 and I felt like I had to fight it every single night for 6 years. I eventually got used to it, but would never have called it comfortable. And in terms of "aggressiveness" of the al...

Re: CPAP recommendation (DS1 alternative)
I 2nd the AS10. I have used a Respironics and had no problem switching over. But all of mine have been bipaps (BiPAP BiPAP BiPAP BiPAP BiPAP)(inside joke) IF that matters. Maybe a BiPap is worth a try for exhale relief? Did you mention what your pressure settings are? Thanks a lot. I would love to ...

Re: CPAP recommendation (DS1 alternative)
"what are other brands that have similar characteristics (that would produce the same "feel" / comfy level) as DS1?" I started with a DS1 and it was replaced with the DS2 with the recall. They have the same " "feel" / comfy level" . After I got the DS2 I bought a lightly used Resmed Air Sense 10 Au...

Hi, https://i.imgur.com/t20kSyV.jpg i'm with okie bipap there. although, i'd rather the 10 over the 11, merely because it's been out longer. will you be paying with insurance or is it out of pocket? our sponsor, cpap.com, has the 10 on sale- https://www.cpap.com/productpage/resmed-airsense-10-autos...

CPAP recommendation (DS1 alternative)
Hi, I have been a long time user of CPAP machine (9 years). I used to use PR SystemOne. And due to the recall, now I use the replacement machine, DreamStation 1. I really love the DS1 over the SystemOne. It's more comfortable - perhaps a better algorithm? I read that Philips stopped selling sleep ap...
