Re: My review of the Respironics Dreamwear!
I would like to add that the headgear strap slides up the back of my head, and then the mask gets pulled off by the tubing when I turn to the other side. I find that if I wake up enough to pull the back strap down, the mask will seal again. The problem with that, of course, is that I have to wake up...

Hi Den, Good to see you too. Always a pleasure. Here are some other links that could be helpful. http://www.cpaptalk.com/viewtopic.php?t=19113 In this one I posted a picture of my deconstructed mask. You need to scroll a bit. http://www.cpaptalk.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=3098&p=23367&hilit=+deconstruc...

Headrest masks and pillows for sale
Do any of you still wear the Headrest mask? When the company discontinued making them, I bought a "lifetime" supply of masks and pillows while they could be found. I always wore the mask in its deconstructed state with homemade straps as invented by restedgal. People who have been forum members for ...

You are so right, tavalon49. I am the no-longer newbie who started this thread. Still using cpap, and still checking the forum.
Thanks for your success story.

Re: OT:Defective frog--DCIS STAGE 0 --CURABLE
I had a clean mammogram. I insisted on an ultrasound. My doc said OK - what the heck?! Guess what the ultrasound found? Cancer. I then had the MRI, which did not show cancer. The biopsy after the ultrasound showed the proof. I did have cancer.

Re: Things non-apnea people say.
My husband has a-fib. His cardiologist told him he didn't ft the profile. Then he told him it wouldn't work for him because he has a beard. DUH. I made him go to my sleep doctor who said that at least 9 out of 10 people who have a-fib have sleep apnea. Most of his referrals come from cardiologists. ...

Re: DME requiring proof of annual sleep doc visit
I have had that experience. My doctor said it is true, but he will OK renewals if I have an appointment on the calendar sometime in the future.

Re: mistake by DME
Thanks for the comments. I would not hesitate to "adjust" my own machine and have done so for 8 years. My husband is the one with the ASV and he still has to prove compliance for Medicare to pay for it. The ASV has more settings than just the auto bi-pap. If I had the prescription, I would change it...

mistake by DME
So, about a month ago my husband had another sleep study, this time to see if he needed the ASV machine. Sure enough he did, and the DME was notified to provide the machine. Right away I noticed that the machine was set incorrectly, at least by my memory of what the doctor said. The central apneas a...
