Re: Programm ResScan ver. 6.0
Please note this version will only work on Windows and will only work for ResMed brand CPAP machines. For instructions to obtain it go to http://www.apneaboard.com/forums/Thread-ResScan-6-0-Software-Download-Link-for-ResMed-machines-only (login required) Since ResMed does not release a listing of wh...

Re: ResScan 6.0
Downloaded and installed version 6.0 a few weeks ago. Works well in my Windows 8.1 laptop. Having said that, I find it quite annoying having to login with user-id and password every time I want to use the program. Except for this hurdle, I don't see anything different when comparing with the prior v...

Re: Windows 10 and ResScan v 4.2.08.5438
Installed Windows 10 and gave me nothing but headaches. Stay away from it. The machine kept freezing. After a week I went back to Windows 8.1. Windows 10 is OK if originally installed in the computer. When upgrading, some machines are not compatible with windows 10. To avoid the Windows 10 upgrade p...

Re: Rescan does not detect card. Please help.
Resolved. After trying a number of possible fixes and searching past posting on the topic I ended up doing the following: 1. Re-inserted card in the machine. Got "Invalid card" message with "Erase" Yes/No. 2. Selected Yes, and "Erased" the card. 3. Invalid Card message no longer appears. 4. Tried Re...

Rescan does not detect card. Please help.
I have been using Rescan for several years without a problem. I am using windows 8.1 and the laptop has a SC card slot. I am able to see the card and its files with Windows Explorer. When trying to download data today, the program does not detect the SD card. Get the following message from Rescan: T...

Re: ResScan 5.3 is now available
Thank you Pugsy for the information. I downloaded, installed and tried version 5.3. It works fine and did not notice any difference with respect to prior versions. Perhaps they fixed minor bugs and/or added devices.

Re: CPAP.com
If you use a credit card to pay for purchases at cpap.com, and claim the expense to the insurance, in my experience the insurance money arrives well before the card payment due date. You are not out of pocket at any time.

Re: Replace Machine Time
If you have used your machine 80K+ hours in 5 years you must live in another dimension or have several people using the machine at the same time. 80K hours in 5 years means using it almost 44 hours per day. You probably meant 8K+ hours which is more likely. If the machine works OK and serves its pur...

Re: Have you used a CPAP in the hospital?
I was hospitalized for 2 days due to surgery in Toronto. At the pre-op appointment I was told to bring my own machine, mask and hose which I did. I had no problem using it; a nurse helped me setting it up. No need to bring distilled water; the nurse brought it and filled the container. Good luck in ...

Re: Air Canada recently changed policy RE: CPAP & carry-on?
I have been flying Air Canada on one or two round trips per month for the last 8 years, the last 5 carrying both my lap-top bag and the CPAP bag. The CPAP bag has a visible medical device label attached. Not once has any AC staff even insinuated that 2 carry-ons are not permitted.

Re: Favorite travel bags for CPAP and laptop?
Here are my 2-cents as a frequent air traveller. Wheeled carry-ons are considered by many in the computer world as being one of the lap-top's worst enemies (only second to viruses). The vibration produced by the uneven surfaces you pull them through could end up destroying the hard drive. CPAP machi...

Re: Ridiculous quotes and deeds by doctors and DMEs
When I first started CPAP: DME: This is the CPAP for you (gave me a F&P). Me: OK, but are there any others that could work for me? DME: No, this is the most appropriate for you. Me: mmm DME: Now we have to give you a mask. Pick one (showed me 5 closed boxes). Me: OK but can I see them and try which ...

Re: Fake Distilled Water Sold in Canada
I am not sure it's the same brand. I have been buying the distilled water at Food Basics (it's a lot cheaper than at other places). The container says "Selection; Distilled Water. Ozonated. Bottled for Metro Brands." I have not observed any deposits in the humidifier chamber in the several years of ...
