Re: Ever had vertigo due to inner ear infection?
I never had ear infections as a child...never. In the 3 years since starting CPAP I have had no less than 15 seperate infections. Middle ear, inner ear...all of the above. I have had this kind of fun little infection. The vertigo sucks! After starting meds it usually takes 3 or 4 days before it goes...

Re: Testament for weight loss and exercise to improve OSA
I am starting a local weight loss competition today! So good to hear that weight loss can lead to some improvement. I have no hope of a "cure" My OSA was around back when I was seriously underweight and has continued till today. But a decrease in pressure and in AHI would be fantastic! I know I was ...

I wish I could use an ear one. But bbt thermometers are made to be more sensitive. Guess I will try it for a few months and see how it goes.

Re: Is it Humidifier noise, or what?
I dont have the same machine...but I never hear noise from my humidifier. The plate under my tank is always quite warm in the morning. I refill my tank every day...then again I have my pressure at 17 and my humidifier set at 5.

Re: CPAP and basal body temp when TTC
We are using the ovulation predictors as well. The doctor asked me to temp...so I am. I have heard you can actually do temping vaginally...but that just seems messy.

CPAP and basal body temp when TTC
This may seem like an odd post to some. I appologize in advance if any of this is TMI. I am newly married, and already have one daughter who is 5. We have gotten off all birth control and are now working on baby number 2. I am temping to make sure I am actually ovulating (as my dr asked me to). The ...

Re: New user w/ Mirage Quattro and leak problem.
I have used the quattro. I actually still use it when I have a cold. I trained myself out of mouth breathing and now use a Swift. Anyway....back sleeping is not a great idea. You have more apneas in that position. I would recommend you put on the mask, then lay on your side and do any adjustments. A...

Re: Long term effects of its use
I have been on CPAP for 3 years now......I am only 29. I was diagnosed with severe sleep apnea at 26, but had been having symptoms for as long as I can remember. Hindsight is 20/20 I guess. After looking over past medical records and seeing some disturbing notes regarding my O2 readings from a surge...

Re: Anyone ever throw up with tape on?
I have GERD, and some other stomach issues. I threw up once in the middle of the night and had my mouth taped. It was not fun. It was so sudden that I had vomit coming out of my nose and all over my mask before I could get the tape off. It was a very bad night. My asthma was out of control for about...

Re: liberty mask
I will check when I get home and see if I have any mediums. I know if I do they are brand new...because I wear a small, and never even open the medium pillows that come with my masks. If I do I will let you know and maybe I can just send them to you. I dont use my liberty...I only wore it like 4 tim...

Re: POLL: What two symptoms lead you to have a PSG?
My "other" was that I thought I was going crazy. I had been seeing things in the morning when I woke up. My mood could go from happy to furious over nothing in about 4 seconds. I went in and told my Dr I thought I was bi-polar or schitzo or something. I told him I felt like I could be a danger to my...

Re: liberty mask
What kind of soap are you using in your soapy water mix? I know when I used something to harsh for a few weeks I ended up with my pillows not working so well. I have always used lavender baby shampoo (except those few weeks) and have not had that problem since. Could need to go up a size in pillows....
