Re: SilverLining Software anyone need?

Hi, sorry I haven't been on here in ages. I don't have the silverlining software anymore. I ended up getting a respironics machine, and I use it with Sleepyhead software.

Good luck.

Sleepyhead w/ DreamStation APAP or CPAP Pro

Hi all, I have a few questions about the Dreamstation machines - I searched online but still confused :-/ Possibly because lately I keep falling asleep without putting my mask on at night so I'm pretty tired  (trying to sort that one out!). 1. Does Sleepyhead work with Dreamstation machines - s...

Re: some breathing events not flagged

Thanks Pugsy, that makes sense!

Yes, you're right, those are pressure pulses (never noticed that before in the Events tab)!

What happens in response to the pressure pulse if the event is central vs obstructive?

Re: Life of a CPAP machine

I have had my machine for about 5 years, I love it and use it every night. What is the life expectancy of the average machine ? I had two machines crap out on me in the middle of the night after about 3-4 years of full-time usage. One was a second-hand machine with very few hours on it. The other o...

some breathing events not flagged

Hi guys, hope everyone is well, I haven't been on here in forever! Miss you all! I've been feeling pretty crappy lately, and it only ocurred to me today to check my cpap data. Although AHI and other parameters look good, the software doesn't seem to be flagging all breathing events. For example, in ...

Re: TSA Precheck: CPAP can stay under cover

I had the same as jacobsbd flying out of san diego in february - they just waved a bunch of us through even though we were not prescreened. Cpap & laptop went through xray without needing to remove it from the bags. They said it was a test. Made life a LOT easier i must say!

Re: Neck muscles ache from CPAP?

What kind of hose management system are you using? When i had my hose dangling off the edge of the bed, i wasn't able to turn while asleep and ended up in the same position all night, causing neck pain.

Re: A question about CPAP and snores

I love sleepbot to death but don't like how they output the results of the accelerometer. For that I prefer Sleep As An Droid - they do a nice job determining % deep sleep (whether that's accurate or meaninful is another story ). In any case both of them record snores (without recording the *entire*...

Re: What Did You Do Before This Forum?

My only complaint would be the almost slavish statistical worship many people bring to the forum. This 'slavish statistical worship' as you call it helped identify my problem & helped me to correct that problems. Without that data I would still be using the wrong mask, still be mouth breathing and ...

Re: Low AHI, only hypopneas, could CPAP be worthwhile anyway?

Ok i was curious so i found back my sleep study results: 33.8 arousal index 38.3 arousal + awake index 35.4 AHI 39.3 AHI Non REM sleep 5.9 AHI REM sleep Total: 2 central apneas, 2 mixed apneas, 0 obstructive apneas, 194 hypopneas (average duration 14.6 sec), minimum desat 93%. Re: Low AHI, only hypopneas, could CPAP be worthwhile anyway?

I had an AHI over 30 but they were all hypopneas and no desats below 92%, and CPAP has made a HUGE difference.... once I fixed the mouth breathing. What kind of arousal frequency did you have during the study if you remember? Although your untreated AHI is was much higher than mine it does give som...
