Re: Breathe Right nasal strips
My husband has used Breathe Right Strips Original (does not like store brand) for many years. He was diagnosed in May 2014 and started CPAP In June 2014. He continues to use the strips successfully with a full face mask. He washes his nose with baby shampoo before bed, just a drop or so on a wet was...

Re: aromatic oils
Peppermint can indeed be energizing, particularly if one uses too much. For me, one drop is sufficient to open my sinuses. Ditto for the lavender which also can cause me to be awake all night. Also, I have to put the diffuser pad a small distance from the filter/intake. I'm learning as I go and I lo...

Re: aromatic oils
I love my essential oils....a drop each of your peppermint, lavender and eucalyptus can open the sinuses and fight allergies, to mention a few uses. Enjoy.

Re: Bags under my eyes. Big one under right one.
I just talked with my opthamologist last week about this very thing. He told me they are called 'festoons'. Pretty much loose skin. Comes with age . Mine have fluid. Some folk's ankles swell - my bags are packed. I'm thinking maybe limiting my salt intake may help. Surgery can be done, but scaring w...

Re: Broken CPAS9P hose - can I duct tape it as a stopgap?
Anyone know if I can use a standard hose with the Resmed S9? I was told it needs a non standard slimline hose, which seems to cost 3x a regular hose. When I bought my S9, the DME told me that I could use a standard cpap hose with the S9, but not the slimline hose on straight Cpap machines. I had be...

Re: THE GREAT PILLOW EXCHANGE
I have two Resmed AirFit P10 pillows, size Small, that I cannot use(I use a large). They were placed in a plastic Ziploc bag when the packages were opened. I would like to give these to someone, no trade required. PM me if interested. Thanks

Re: Store brand baby wipe question?
I've been using Walmart Equate - alcohol and fragrance free wipes for a number of years. From the travel pack (or any size pack you choose), I remove a small stack, cut in half crosswise and separate. Using the original folds, I place individual wipes in a small( about 3"x2") box with locking lid wh...

Re: DME Question
When I purchased my P10 a few weeks ago I was ready......." I want it in the sealed package so I can try all the sizes". The RT was not a happy camper. It didn't take long during our first encounter to see that she only speaks 'text book', but that's another chapter in the ongoing saga.

Re: Nasal rinse "tricks"
I have have also tried to make my own mix but it was very uncomfortable. I use the Alkalol but just a wee bit to top off the squeeze bottle to the fill line. Works great as long as I am careful not to use too much. One of those times where you read the instructions carefully, then do what works best...

Re: Traveling with xPAP - What do I need to pack?
I always keep these in my bag: Current Rx for CPAP, mask and supplies (laminated), 6 ft. power strip with surge protector, extra filters, mask parts, extra hose (fits in side or flap pocket), wipes to clean mask each day - I use non-alcohol, unscented baby wipes cut in half and sealed in a pint size...
