Re: cost of searching for the right mask
Looks like one of those blind ads asking for personal information. I would stay as far away from them as possible. A company that wants YOUR personal information before giving out any futher information is very suspicious. Finding a local DME with a good fitting/exchange program or a online company ...

Re: Regenesis Pillow - Regular or XL?
I tried the regular and it is a perfect size plus it is not so bulky for travel . You may like the XL if you normally use a king size and/or need the height. The nice thing is that this pillow is adjustable and confirmable but supportive compared to other cpap specific pillows which tend to be firm ...

Re: Pillow too...
I would research the size and firmness of any cpap specific pillow before buying one. Many of them are very firm and so high that they seem to be to made for guys who are over six feet tall pillow because of their neck and shoulder size or for those who have a personal preference for such a size/fir...

Re: Can you interview DME's
Yes you should "interview" DME's because some are alot better than others. My doctor's office gave me a list of 4 DME's. By 4 simple phone calls I was able to eliminate 2 of them right away because they could not give me a straight answer to some basic questions like price, selection and if I could ...

Re: Not enough moisture
Until your hydrometer arrives try hanging some damp clothes/towels in your bedroom. If they dry quickly and seem rather stiff the air is super dry. It is best use items partially dried in the dryer to avoid water dripping. The drying clothes will add some humidity to the air plus save on costs of ru...

Re: I slept HORRIBLE last night, why?
There are lots of factors that add up to a good nights sleep and this cold weather spell is no help. Cooler room temperature and the cooler outside Winter air seem to lower the indoor humidity all which seem to reduce the quality of sleep. Checking and making adjustments to the temperature, humidity...

Re: Wii Fit Comments?
The standard Wii Fit seems to have quite a delay between the various excercises so it took about 45 mins for a session and felt much of that time was waiting for the Wii to cycle to the next excercise. I lost interest in this in about a week and went back to 45 mins of walking . When the rainy seaso...

Re: humidifier help
A light fleece cover is a good investment. Anything real thick makes it heavy which pulls on the mask causing leaks. Can't suggest anything on dealing with the room temperature/humidity because I keep my house at 68 degrees and use whole house humidifier. Found out lowering the temperature lower tha...

Re: Saw a new Sleep Doc today
Find out how much experience both the night tech who runs the study AND the tech who does the scoring the next day otherwise you are wasting your time and insurance money. Several years ago I had a study run by someone who had 10 years experience which was good but later discovered that the scorer j...

Re: dental appliance
A dental appliance is a big gamble both $ and toothwise. I did go see a dentist who advertised that he specialised in the dental appliances. Before I even could talk to the dentist had to sign a informed consent that the appliance may not work plus that it may damage the teeth and/or bite. The denti...

Re: DeVilbiss Intellipap questions
Has anyone noted the Intellipap's motor sound is at a higher pitch than Respironic machines?. I tried running the Intellipap in CPAP and Auto and noted same level/pitch of sound both ways. I was hoping for a over-all quieter machine for travel but the sound level is somewhere between the "tank" and ...

Re: Need help!
Yes look at what pressure setting(s) are set at. It seems the people who get issued a Plus also tend to have a problem with the pressure and/or ramp set too low along with a variety of other things that sets them up for failure. There seems to be a better chance of not getting proper DME service whe...

Re: Quattro (or any other) seal question
The seal cushions seem to slowly lose their seal slowly over a period of a few months during the time can look perfectly fine up to the point they get a warped appearance. Putting stuff on them to make them seal better is a stop gap measure that seals for 1/2 of night and then the seal is pretty muc...

Re: Mirage SoftGel is in the house!
Now if and when the SoftGel will be available in a size small. Resmed delayed the small Activa LT for months and it took months after that until cpap.com stocked it on its website. Very happy to see cpap.com started carrying the size small recently one week after a customer service rep told me the A...
