Re: Nasal Congestion following cold

Let me try that. I actually raised humidity(normally 70%) thinking the air in the house too dry. My hydrometer typically falls between 65 and 56%.

Nasal Congestion following cold

I had a cold in January that lasted 3 weeks. I just started feeling well again when I developed a headache and nasal congestion that won’t go away. I had two courses of antibiotics for the first and second cold but still I have a stuffed up drippy nose with some fresh blood. I tried saline spray, in...

Re: Is there a mouthguard that blocks mouth-breathing?

My periodontist make a mouth guard retainer to prevent me grinding my teeth. This solved my mouth breathing which the head strap full face mask and taping didn’t. I had insurance so not sure how much I actually paid but was going to check with my regular dentist on his out of pocket cost. My retaine...

Re: MyAir and Fitbit Accuracy

So, do you think MyAir is accurate regarding length of sleep?

Re: MyAir and Fitbit Accuracy

Same question.

Why is there a huge difference in the amount of time between my Fitbit and MyAir?
Like two hours more on my machine. I don’t run my machine unless I’m planning to sleep (don’t use it to watch tv, etc).

Why would there be such a discrepancy?

MyAir and Fitbit Accuracy

There is always a huge difference between hours slept between the MyAir software and my Fitbit. The MyAir always shows more time—like hours more than the Fitbit which seems more accurate. I don’t wear my mask if I’m not sleeping so I don’t understand why there is always a difference. Any ideas?

Re: Medicare Coverage with 2 Machines

I’d go for the new machine sooner rather than later. Take the new one with you for the first month. I have three machines. Always great to have newer backup or alternative.

Re: Experience Transitioning to Medicare

Thanks Neicy. I am sort of between a rock and a hard place. Came to Florida for the winter, cancelled my follow up with my respiratory doc because it didn’t seem it would do me any good without a new sleep study. Not sure the docs admin much less DME knew what they were talking about re the Medicare...

Re: Experience Transitioning to Medicare

Thanks Okie. That document seems a bit more clearer.

I guess I need to wait till I can see my original respiratory doc this spring. The DME and the Doc’s nurse haven’t been very helpful on what Medicare needed from the doc. Thankfully I have backup mach8nes and supplies to last me till then.

Re: Experience Transitioning to Medicare

I received a letter from my DME. Although I won’t be back to MA till the spring, the list of Medicare requirements that they listed the one I am concerned with is this: “Medicare also requires a qualifying baseline sleep study, including signed interp.” I don’t remember when I had last study. If the...

Experience Transitioning to Medicare

Been on CPAP for many years. I retired this summer. In order to have Medicare pay for my supplies etc, do I need to start from scratch with another sleep study, doctor visit (not sure when I had my last study done)?

Error Message: Power Connector Not Connecting

My Airsense 10 tipped over in the beginning of the night. I picked it up and cleaned out hose. Then in the early morning I noticed an error msg saying that the power wasn’t connected. Since then I cleaned it up, plugged it into another wall outlet and had it running but the msg came back. Now it’s n...

Bi-Level is the Resmed name for this? My husband uses a bi-level (bi-pap) machine.
