Re: Sticky: Phillips Respironics recent recall notice discussion thread

Your recall notice will just be a couple of years behind the killer air bags they put in your car!

Re: Philips Recalls Everything

I told them not to sell their products in California, even Pet Rocks cause Cancer in California. Jim

Investing in my three outdated "Tanks", that I use every night and keep running like a E-Bunny, seem to be a better investment every day.

Re: Philips Dreamstation difficult to turn off

My problem is that I have to push and hold the power button for at least 30 seconds to a minute before the machine will shut off. Whereas my husband’s it’s only a couple of seconds before it will shut off. Is this normal? Consider yourself fortunate, most husbands don't come with a power button. Wa...

I believe I am.
I believe for every drop of rain that falls, a flower grows, and we need to smell them before the Ozone damages us so bad we can't smell them anymore.   Jim

Re: Do I need a new machine?

There is no way they could change the odor of ozone. Ozone does not clean, it may or may not kill some germs. However, it WILL cause damage to your lungs and damage some of the parts in your XPAP machine. There is ONE way ozone generators don't last forever, it may be as the end of its life, a good...

Re: The Inner Circle:perception,conspiracy,reality??

If there really was a conspiracy to prevent the free dissemination of vital treatment information, it would be the AMA or the DME's. Oh, BTW, who made them God? They really ought to all be taking some kind of oath; or maybe writing it a thousand times on the blackboard. That's right, Homer! Probabl...

Re: OT: How to throw a SoClean Party

First get all your friends to meet you at the local land fill, have them bring their No-Cleans, shoot some No-Cleans and a few Rats, maybe some will be the same Rats that sold you the No-Cleans in the first place.

Re: Ever used an SD Card extender with your CPAP unit ?

Has anyone's sd card mechanism worn out? No, but I have learned SD cards in laptops are unreliable and tend to corrupt files. I never count on SD for storage, just quality hadr drives and usb 3.1 or better. I know SD is all cpaps use but move the files to a better storage media if tou want to archi...

Re: Airsense 10 Warranty/Repairs

I am considering getting a Dream Station by Phillips Respironics. It looks like my current Airsense 10 is going bad after just 4 years. I previously had a Remstar Auto C-Flex (aka "the tank") by Respironics. I loved that machine and I got a lot of good use out of it. I still have it and it still wo...

Re: Newer Cpaps could have pin to lock patients out

And you would want to lock patients (and yourself) out because why? DMEs and doctors would want to because we are too stupid (they think) to go messing with the settings. More control over the patient...force an office visit charge (those sure aren't cheap) or trip back to DME who won't do anything...

Re: using an extension cord with your cpap machine

In case someone wants to know how things really works, a $ .89 extension cord can carry enough power to power many XPAPS at the same time. More than four. If you also plan on plugging a A/C or welder, then you would need a heavier plug (and outlet feed). Jim

Re: machine life vs pressure

More important in life span of a XPAP is Quality, which we as users have no control over, and keeping leaks under control and filters clean, users with common sense, (not all that common) have the best luck using equipment. The point of a XPAP is it's a tool to help keep you alive, not the other way...
