Re: Ultra Mirage FFM

I very much like this mask, and it is all that I use. But it does indeed have a breaking problem. Twice I have had a break in the clip that goes around the flap. Each was at the same place, on a bend. In fact, mine is broken right now, and patched with scotch tape. A scary thing is that the broken p...

Re: Newbie needs software help (RemStarAuto M-Series w/ A-Flex)

Hope pugsy's PM was the help you need. If you don't have or get the software, one place you could buy it is at this link, to the online store of our hosts at this wonderful forum. https://www.cpap.com/productpage/respironics-encore-viewer-software-pr-system-one-machine.html Even though the words "pr...

Re: Most of you are a bunch of jerks

Actually, M.D. Hosehead, I don't think "bunch of jerks" is an object but rather is a predicate nominative. And I prefer to think of you all as a bunch of life-and-sanity-savers.

Re: Soreness on bridge of nose with full face mask

Oh no, Kevin! My reference to ComfortGel was only because your profile shows that as being your present mask, and my experience with it was negative. I never heard of ComfortGel pads, and when I googled them, it said they were for irritated nipples in breastfeeding mothers. Whatever. Lansinoh works ...

Re: Soreness on bridge of nose with full face mask

Hi Kevin. I had the same problem when I was new. The general recommendation is a padding called "moleskin", in the foot care section of pharmacy or supermarket. A small leak is compensated for by the machine but i suppose is annoying near the eyes. What eventually worked for me was to go alternate n...

Bodgy for Dori

I didn't know either, Dori, and "define:bodgy" did not yield anything. But found a link:

Xena, you refer several times to your "RS". What is that?

Hi Emilia,
In your post yesterday at 2:54, you said, "AHI is the average of the two [AI and HI]." Actually, it is the sum, not the average.

Hi roster,
Nothing to add, except that I live 9 miles from the headquarters of Sicap, LLC, the makers of Sinus Busters. I recall reading in the local paper some human interest story about the local inventor who made good.

Re: Getting the right size mask

Hi Maryaz. Twice you've said full face when you mean total face. Full face is common, total face is the rare one that I'd like to try too.

Re: Is total face as effective as full face?

I've been wanting to try a total face myself, though I'm very happy with my Ultra Mirage Full Face except that it tends to get a leaky elbow. What I would suggest is that you get a photocopy of your prescription (possibly don't need to bother the doctor, in my case the front desk clerk at the DME ch...
