Re: Nasal Aire II replacement tubing?

Thanks for the reply. On closer examination, I don't think a replacement tubing would work on the swivel section. It looks to be a single piece at that juncture. My rig is pretty simple...I put a velour headband on and pull it down around my neck, place the cannula, with the tubes stuck together wit...

Nasal Aire II replacement tubing?

It's been a long time since I've been around, but this board was a Godsend when I started my CPAP journey. I adore my Nasal Aire II rig, but am in need of just the tubing. I don't use the headgear at all, have a fairly new prong, but the tubing has gotten hard. Rather not spend the $$ on a new set-u...

Sick with a cold, CPAP making it worse

I got my annual birthday cold and, as usual, it has settled in my chest. My lungs aren't in pristine condition after having contracted a pretty bad case of histoplasmosis back before it was curable, so these chest things tend to linger and cause terrible, dry coughing spells. I usually put a cool mi...

Update on my pressure increase experiment

First, thank you to everyone who assured me I'd survive and an extra big thank you to the person who posted the instructions on how to change my pressure (I forgot who you were, but THANK YOU!). I bumped it up to 10 (from 9, no ramp, I can't stand the suffocating feeling) and it has made a differenc...

Re: I know, I know, but please answer anyway re: pressure

Thanks, everyone. As for the humidity, it's as low as it will go. I can't turn it off or I get a wicked dry cough. I'm not a mouth breather and my hubby confirms that I'm not making any noise (we sleep in odd shifts, so he gets to hear me sleep quite a bit) I bumped it up to 10 and will see how that...

I know, I know, but please answer anyway re: pressure

I don't have a data capable machine. I don't have an auto machine. No, I can't have another sleep study. I don't want to go into great detail, but none of those things is going to change at the moment, so on to the question...I currently have a pressure setting of 9. How they reach this number when ...

Re: The outstanding cost of a sleep study...

Oh yeah. Welcome to my world. It gets even better when we have to listen to people tell us how horrible we are and even unfit to be alive in America b/c we have no insurance. They seem to not be able to understand English when we tell them it's not only that we cannot afford it, it's that NO ONE WIL...

Re: Pur-Sleep Aromatherapy - Initial review

Thank you for the detailed review! I agree whole-heartedly about your company evaluation as well. Excellent customer service is as refreshing as the scents! I have to admit, I'm a spice girl (not THAT kind ). I LOVE it. So much, that I've been hesitant to try the other ones, but because of your exce...

Re: Travel and CPAP...frustrations, we need to write letters!

Wellll, I'm not an idiot and I did have those very items (although the extension cord was in the trailer). The point is, there weren't enough outlets in the room since many hotels have gone to the plug-in-a-lamp things and none of those would accommodate the triple plug or a grounded extension cord....

Travel and CPAP...frustrations, we need to write letters!

I'm home from 2 weeks of road warrioring and 7 hotels (3 of which were Disney resorts). Only 2 had somewhere for me to plug in my CPAP without unplugging a lamp or a clock and 2 had NOWHERE for me to plug without an extension cord. Fortunately, I had one in my cargo trailer, but it sure stunk having...

Re: Pur sleep

This sounds interesting, but I have one question. Will my husband be able to smell it? He doesn't even like air fresheners in the bathroom, etc! Essential oils are a WHOLE different ballgame than air fresheners. My hubby LOVES the scent of essential oils, most especially Spice, but hates air freshe...

Re: Pur-Sleep Product Line Questions

I'm all about being frugal and saving money. I have to be. Here are my thoughts...I think you should offer a sampler pack (a single sheet of paper in a jewelry-type baggie for each fragrance) for, say, $5. Included with the sampler, offer a coupon code for $5 off the first order. I was only interest...

We are self-insured. A few weeks after my now 12yo was born (normal, healthy pregnancy, normal birth, normal everything), she started having gastrointestinal issues that required a few hospitalizations and LOTS of doctor's visits and specialized formula. Her claims were denied as having a "pre-exist...

I had the opportunity to try it during a test drive and WOW, what a difference it made! For some reason, my mask gets a funky thing going on and it really helps keep me compliant. Since I'm using a hose hanging thingy, I can have my machine on my bedside table and hubby enjoys the spice scent as muc...

I use Smart Balance. Natural oils, but not all the sat-fat of butter, either and it tastes good! I do like real butter, but I like it soft and it goes rancid too fast (even using a butter bell) where I live.
