Help with BiPAP Pressure settings
Hello, I have been using the Phillips Dreamstation Auto-Bipap for a few years now. After trying a lot of different masks I landed on the AirTouch F20 with the BiPap. My AHI has suddenly jumped and I'm wondering if my settings are correct. I thought I landed on a decent spread of Min EPAP 16.5 with +...

Re: AHI jumping to scary levels with new machine.
So had a session where my AHI jumped after turning up min pressure to 16. Still doing side sleeping and cervical collar. Funny thing is I thought I had a great night sleep because I feel halfway decent for once. https://i.imgur.com/V3VlucW.png My VS disappeared which makes sense because I've been no...

Re: AHI jumping to scary levels with new machine.
So after a few days of very good AHI numbers, skyrocketed back up. Going to talk to my NP as it coincided with the end of my Prednisone dose. Wondering if that was helping my airway stay clear.

Re: AHI jumping to scary levels with new machine.
Happy dance time..... Good job. Yess. Thanks for all the advice. Now here's something I have a question about since my VSs were super high. Is it possible that a blowing fan could screw up the machine detection of AHI? Just want to make sure that this wasn't a fluke. Last night was the first night ...

Re: AHI jumping to scary levels with new machine.
Progress!
So, got a new cushion for my old full face mask, a script for prednisone which has help completely clear up my sinuses, concientitious side sleeping, and cervical collar and voila!
Sure, very small sample but promising nevertheless.

Re: AHI jumping to scary levels with new machine.
Yeah....just ignore the drama. Keeps things lively around here and this isn't the first and won't be the last. Strong personalities butting heads and all that. So you say you already tried a cervical collar? One of the new posts you shared? If so, which one? Yep, the three charts I posted above wer...

Re: AHI jumping to scary levels with new machine.
That would be bad news then. The machine is maxed out on pressure and flow. I thought the machine may be up to the job, but not when it is feeding leaks. It's not feeding the leaks. These machines don't feed leaks and in fact Respironics machine reduce pressure if it senses a large leak (remember i...

Re: AHI jumping to scary levels with new machine.
So I adjusted my mask a little and leak rate was really good and then I had a horrible 4 hours of sleep. AHI 23 concluded with a central (can't remember last time I had that) + waking up gasping. Really at my wits end here. I'm willing to try pretty much anything. If someone says sleeping on the flo...

AHI jumping to scary levels with new machine.
So, I made a thread in December 2017 http://www.cpaptalk.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=157643&p=1211348 when my AHI start jumping from it's usual <2 to 4 or 5. Felt like my old machine wasn't really doing its job and the humidifier was broken. I decided to finance a new machine and wound up getting the Dr...

Re: AHI has jumped like crazy over past month
I don't exactly feel worse than I did at the beginning of the month when my AHI was at its normal level. It really has me wondering if the machine is just having some sort of weird readings or its crapping out. It's got a lot of hours on it. I went ahead and ordered a new mask (going back to the nas...

Re: AHI has jumped like crazy over past month
So I did as suggested an opened up the min max a little bit. I hit 20 last night so it's kind of concerning to me. The AHI also has not really gone down back to where it used to be. Any ideas? Should I not be concerned about a 6.55 AHI?

AHI has jumped like crazy over past month
My AHIs were normally under 2 or 1 and all of the sudden they have jumped in the neighborhood of 7 or 8 some nights. No idea what exactly could be causing this. Here's my sleephead overview. https://i.imgur.com/vWHwiOz.png I'm self-directed with therapy. Don't have insurance that covers this equipme...
