Re: Almost to the 5 year mark.
Thanks Pugsy, that was not the info I wanted to hear, with the price of new 12v cords. Guess I will have to start haunting eBay for the newer 12v power cord.

Re: Almost to the 5 year mark.
Funny, I recognize all the names from that first year, when we all were newbies and trying glean as much info as we could. My actual date is 4/19, but I know to not wait till the last minute and expect to have a trouble free transaction with the DME and Medicare.......I have another question now, do...

Re: Almost to the 5 year mark.
Well, I talked to the DME on Tue and they said the same thing, if it works for you, why change it. So, will probably stay with the PR S1 and the heated hose, which I don't have now. Gave me the info I needed to make sure there was no hitch when the time comes for the new machine in a couple of month...

Almost to the 5 year mark.
Hard to believe it was 5 years ago that I was here asking questions to determine which machine and mask I should be looking at. I started with the RemStar M series APAP and bought a PR System 1 APAP so I would have a spare. I have had good luck with the Respironics products and wonder if their newes...

Mine is a tribute to the fine men and women that I had the privilege to serve with for first 20+ years of my working life, as we defended our right to be free. When I find an appropriate photo of a Police Officer, I will alternate them to also honor those fine folks that I spent the last 25 years wo...

Re: Altitude
I don't know about Resmed, but with my 18 month old PRS-1, the manufacturer replaced it with a brand new machine and the DME provided a like new loaner for the time frame the manufacturer needed to make a decision.

Re: is this a scam?
At the start, my DME required compliance data every 30 days for 6 months, then never asked again. The Dr asked for the data at the 90 day mark and never again. Once they are paid, you become past history and they are now looking to others for their income......I have not had anyone in 2½ years, ask ...

Re: on-line DME recommendations wanted
I used Americarecpap.com for a year until I found a good local DME to work with. I was very satisfied with Americarecpap and they do work with various insurance companies.

Re: OTish : Jury Duty with Sleep Apnea
Being a retired LEO, there is no way I will ever get to serve on a jury......LOL. However, the quickest way to be excused from the jury pool is to answer the one question that all prospective jurors get, can you be fair and unbiased. The best answer is, "Yes, I believe in our legal system and this p...

Re: OT: Maricopa County Sheriff to Investigate Fake B/Cert
What I have a hard time understanding is why NO ONE and I mean NO ONE at his college knew him or can ever remember him being in any class. Also, why does he have a SS number that was issued out of CT, when he was not born there, never lived there and never worked there? There are many unanswered que...

Re: Distilled water really needed ?
I look at it as pay now or pay later. I changed my humidifier after 30 months and it has had NOTHING but distilled water in it. Where we stay in Texas, the water is nasty and I know of folks ruining a tank in as little as 6 months and at $25 ±, that can be expensive. Distilled water for those 30 mon...

I use the 6' on the one in the RV and a queen bed. At home, I have an 8' on it with a king bed. The pressure remains the same and have no problems with the pressure at the mask.

Above all else...,.Truthfulness, which few display and then a little compassion towards a person facing a lifestyle change. When I find that they lied to me, or attempted to screw me, it is bye bye and on to another.

Re: Insurance tells me Apria is wrong
I have found that the branch of the DME providers can vary greatly in the service that you receive and the advice you are given.... I will agree with this. I've heard nothing but complaints about Lincare but I won't use anyone else. I've tried 3 now in the 6 months I've been using CPAP and the leve...

Re: What data is available on screen in P/R System One Auto
They have started using either a better screen or something now, as my new Rev 3 is much improved over the Rev 0 I had. I am very pleased with the newer and MUCH quieter Rev 3 model.
