Re: might have bricked my Airsense 10

That’s what I was using for the tear down. I suspect I must have fried the circuit board somehow. Though I never had it plugged in when tearing down. I’m kinda bummed. I was hoping to repair this old unit as a backup. I can’t find any on eBay. I was hoping to buy someone’s old one whose pump is nois...

might have bricked my Airsense 10

I just got my new Airsense 10, and immediately started to tear down my old one. I didn’t get to far into it, but the screen no longer comes on, much less does the pump start. I believe I have all of the connections plugged in properly, but obviously I did something wrong. If anyone has any suggestio...

Re: Online Rx and DME

My primary and pulmonary docs each said they’d order a sleep study and wouldn’t even require a single office visit. Will they write a script for you? Why do you think you need a sleep study? I’m sure they will. But the insurance company insists on a sleep study. They make it a hassle on purpose.

Re: Online Rx and DME

My primary and pulmonary docs each said they’d order a sleep study and wouldn’t even require a single office visit. Why do you need a new sleep study? Just get your primary doc to send a script to your DME. My primary doc sends a renewed script to my DME each year at my annual wellness visit. BTW, ...

Re: Online Rx and DME

Since when is it a crime fcr a primary doc to want to be paid for an office visit - and then a referral? These days they don't always do that well as we're all using Dr Google, etc... I mean, they do work hard. This is my ENT, not primary. He wants to milk his CPAP patients for an extra visit, for ...

Online Rx and DME

Has anyone used an online telemedicine service to obtain a CPAP Rx to provide to your insurance’s DME provider? How did it work out for you? My ENT is a real piece of work. He insists on a office visit before referring me to a sleep study, and after as well. Why on earth do I need to see him twice? ...

Re: Air dry feature on CPAP machines

Do CPAP manufacturers read these forums? If so, I'd love a timed air dry feature added. After cleaning out the hose , I'd like to be able to blow dry it before storing it. Currently I have to run the air fit test over and over until it dries, or stick the hose in front of a fan. Waste of time, elec...

Vendors and large order discounts

My wife and I each have a Flexible Spending Account through our employers. In case you didn’t know you are allowed to have a FSA for each person , and you can use those accounts for FSA eligible purchases for anyone. . We are going to use the max amount ($2750) and at the end of the period (our peri...

Re: COVID 19, CPAP, Ventilator MEGA THREAD...everything go here please

I’m far too busy to read through all of these messages. The bottom line is I have two older working CPAPS (might even be BIPAP) that I’m not using. If they can be used during this crisis, how can I see they get into the hands of those that will see them put to good use? This is a straight up donatio...

Does ResMed make AirCurve 10 with “for her” options?

I basically want to get a machine that has the greatest number of options available so that I can experiment with the options that go along with my sleep study options. At the moment I’m leaning towards the Air Sense. However, i can’t tell what the differences are between the AirSense 10 AutoSet and...

So I thought my AirSense Autoset died. At 3am on Friday. Looking for a new CPAP

I fortunately found a same day delivery on Amazon for a new power brick. I’m back in business. Since Aetna will pay for a new machine every two years and I’m eligible, I want to get a new one. While I love the AirSense, is there a new “Cadillac” of CPAP machines that have come out in the last few ye...

Timeline of CPAP machine releases and what’s coming down the pipeline.

I’ve got pretty good insurance, and they will pay for a new machine every two years. I currently have a RESMED airsense 10 which is supposed to be the Cadillac. I’ve had it for over two years and it still works great, but was curious about how often companies release new models. The RESMED 9 (forgot...

Time to change doctors?

I just had a new sleep study done, because my wife was telling me I was or breathing. I bumped my pressure up to 16 and she said it worked better. Then when I had the sleep study done the tech said I should try using a new mask, the Resmed P10 in lieu of my Opus 360. The mask was nice, and my pressu...
