Re: I loved my ResMed Mirage Swift II Nasal pillows now HATE it
Hi Beth. I have a question: Are you cleaning your nasal pillows every morning, or evening before bed, and washing your face before bed? I found that if I didn't do the above; my pillows would slip, and cause leakage. I was using the Swift LT ( http://www.resmed.com/us/products/swift_lt/swift-lt.html...

Re: Tips for flying with CPAP?
Thanks friends. Im not worried at all about carrying it onboard. My S8 has a wonderful carry bag, and Air Asia asked if I could bring a letter from my physician *tick*. No problem there. I tend to plug my ears, and drop a sleeping pill (very light version) to sleep on aircraft long hauls, and I plan...

If I get drunk I find that I've removed my mask during the night.

Re: Tips for flying with CPAP?
Hi guys. Thanks for all the tips. My question is: Is there anybody here that can share a story of using their CPAP on the actual flight? I have an 8hr flight in the night, and also a 13 hour flight, so I'd really, really like to sleep during most of them. Im flying Air Asia. Today I rang them to see...

The Pope and Tiger Woods
The Pope and Tiger Woods die on the same day and because of an administrative mix up the Pope went to Hell and Tiger Woods went to Heaven. The Pope explains the situation to the administrative clerk in Hell, and after checking the paperwork admits that there is an error. "However", the clerk explain...

Re: ED & libido
Without trying to sound like bragging; I use my CPAP to "get out of" the situation, if Im tired or not up for it. I have this saying with my wife when Im tired and want to go to bed, instead of watching TV, or talking etc. Its: "Oh Im gonna go put my mask on". And I'll trot off to bed. So now when I...

Re: Cleaning Mask, Hose and Humidifier
What Joy said. I clean my nasal pillow about every 2nd morning. Top up humidifier every few nights with a bottle of previously boiled water that's beside the machine My Saturday morning routine: (whilst listening to Billie Holiday). Run a bit of hand soap through the tube, connect the tube to the ta...

Re: Scared for Sleep Test Study
Absolutely. Thank you John, and Hello! I stumbled across this forum this morning at work after Googling for some answers on "burnt plastic smells" (I absent mindedly let my humidifier run dry). Although I think the smell that followed is from the filter that needs replacing (been in use for 6 months...

Re: Scared for Sleep Test Study
I dragged the chain for ages, until I finally realised that I was not only in denial, but I was affecting the life, and comfort of my closest (Now wife). The snoring was killing her (and I). I was perpetually tired and grumpy, and constantly run down and getting colds etc. After coming home home fro...

Re: CPAP and hangovers
Hi Peeps. Ironic that my first post is to do with Hangovers. Oh well. I certainly have experienced the phenomena of no hangovers since using my CPAP. I have been ucing my machine for 6 months now, and I have only had a hangover after pulling my mask off in my sleep. (I only pull my mask off, ever, w...
