Most of my events are within the last few hours of sleep. Yes, you need to wear your mask. I'm not familiar with your mask, but can't you leave it on and just disconnect the hose for a bathroom break?

Re: making adjustments
I wouldn't. There are times you may need a pressure higher than a 10.... so it's there is you need it. Are you comfortable with the 4?

Re: 3 months new user, questions
Make sure there is enough slack in the hose, coming from the top of the Hose Buddy, to allow you to turn on both sides, when lying down. Thank goodness the hose is stiff enough to allow the excess hose to lie on the bed, and not on you. The Hose Buddy should "swivel" with you as you flip around. She...

Resmed is a quality machine. I am of the opinion, when a company gets caught with "their hand in the cookie jar", they need to "earn" my trust.

I don't know about "lately", but I can get two - three cushion replacement cycles on a headgear.

Re: AirSense 11 AutoSet arrived, a few questions
If it was me, I'd get a hose hanger and say "goodby" to messin' with the dang hose. I've used the Hose Buddy for about 15 years, and I'm well pleased with it. There are other types, and some forum members have devised their own.

Re: Testosterone therapy and CPAP
You always hear that men today have lower testosterone. Ever wondered why? I looked it up, and the answer is that fewer men are smoking today. So..... lets all start smoking! Hah! On the serous side, I have taken weekly injections for years, and have not seen any change in my apnea numbers. Just rec...

Re: Storing Cpap Machine
I put my backups in their carrying bags and place them in the bottom of my closet. I also put a piece of paper in each one with the date I bought it and how long I used it. I have two airsense 10's. One is almost new and the other is several years older, so gives me an idea which is which.

Re: skin irritation
I spent 10 years fighting the same issue as you have. Heck, the bridge of my nose was sore to touch. For me, I found that at night, I would push the top of the mask (the V part) above the knot on my nose, so the top of the mask rests on the area where the nose starts to come out of my face. Again, t...

If you can't find a manual, use youtube or google. I can't ever find my manuals.

You are ok. I would refrain from talking about cpap with the wife. She obviously doesn't want to hear about it.

Re: Higher AHI
Thank you, Miss Emerita. Yea, you’re right. My central are low, mostly a zero… maybe a 1, when the used to always be a zero. I have also found that I am sleeping longer (and needing it) than I used to. If I I got six hours, I was good. Now I need 8-9 hours. My meds haven’t changed with the exception...

Higher AHI
I'll make this as short as I Can. My previous mask of preference is the Philips Fitlife Total mask. It's a "fireman-looking" mask. For comfort factors, I would use the pad-a-cheek liner, but my leak rates would disturb my sleep. I have COPD, breathing issues, three strokes in the last couple years, ...

Thank you I wondered if OSCAR would be worth the bother If you can't get your android to work, then get your info off your machine's screen. I use MyAir to get my basic info, then I go about my daily business. I use Oscar for detail information if something is going on with my sleep or a printed re...
