Re: Advice on flying for the first time with Cpap machine

I wrap each component in its own ziploc bag. This ensures it stays away from grubby TSA hands if I don't have time to tell them to change gloves, however I've never had one so much as touch my CPAP bag, contents etc. I have had to remove the machine only from the CPAP bag a couple of times, but usua...

Re: Sleeping with a partner who wears CPAP

Partner and I are still in very early adjustment stages with CPAP. He hasn't found a set up that seems to work for him and since he started using it, I haven't had a decent night of sleep. If he had a solution that improved his sleep and health, I wouldn't mind that I'm sleeping in the living room ...

Re: SleepyHead update coming very soon.

F&P icon will give basic info, but I can't get the flow charts to behave. It's a little hard with no information whatsoever provided by the manufacturer. Just keep working on it and let us know if you need more Icon data. I can only give you CPAP mode data, but then again it might be easier to star...

Re: SleepyHead update coming very soon.

Mark, thank you for all the work you do on this wonderful software for we sleep challenged. It's so much nicer than Rescan I'm going to work (HA! I'M not, but my DH is) on uploading my CMS50E data to Sleepyhead - I believe that's possible, yes? Will my back up F&P Icon work with Sleepyhead yet? Tha...

Re: Hair damage help!

I found the best way to stop the headgear messing with my hair (I found the silicone tends to break your hair), is to use a PapCap chinstrap or something similar. This is a thin but firm cotton that works perfectly to keep your mouth closed, however I also use it without the chinstrap. OK, it flatte...

Re: Mask strap

A couple of options: 1. If you have a supply replacement schedule with your DME provider, you may be eligible for replacement mask/headgear. 2. If you are handy with a sewing machine, you could replace the velcro. 3. Ebay or Amazon may have the headgear for your mask for sale, or your DME provider, ...

Re: aromatherapy for cpap is it effective?

Pur-Sleep has a wonderful sampler so you can try all their aromas to see which one/s work best for you. I can't actually 'smell' the aroma after a few minutes, however DH (who works 2nd shift) said he can smell the oils when he comes to bed around 3am, even before he opens the bedroom door. For me -...

Re: Zeo Dark Thirty (comments please)

Did you remove the headband and replace in the cradle? I haven't seen that error message in all the experimenting so can't comment on that. I've only had my Zeo since Xmas, and have every day except January 1 - no idea what happened there. Even when my card indicated there were no new nights on ther...

Re: Kitchen stove ~~~ nothing to do with apnea

I have a GE Profile - white, ceramic cooktop, all electric. I was primarily looking for a range where all the controls are in the front. It never makes sense to me that you have reach over steaming or spitting food to adjust the controls. My kitchen is set up for gas and electric so I wasn't too pic...

Re: Zeo Dark Thirty

I occasionally get gaps in my data also - I think I've got that beaten by NOT wearing the headband over my mask/headgear but under. Any movement of your mask headgear is possibly going to pull the headband away from your forehead and you're not going to be aware of it. Since changing this, I've had ...

Re: Who set you up?

DME came to my clinic - RT (for want of a better description) showed me how to turn the machine on and off, fitted ONE mask and told me how tight to have it, sent me home with a folder with replacement instructions and lots of flyers about what the DME offers. Came here and actually LEARNED somethin...
