Re: Did my PRS1 just kick the bucket? How apropos...

Darker gray? Check the model number on the sticker on the bottom...see if it has a 3 digit number with 60 as last 2 digits. If it does then you have the latest 60 series machine. Did you get a new humidifier also? If you are using software then you may find that your software won't work with a 60 s...

Re: Did my PRS1 just kick the bucket? How apropos...

It was a v2.01 machine, but when I took it in to the DME, it misbehaved right on cue. Since it was still under warranty, they just swapped it out with another model (v 3.01? the grey parts are a little darker).

So we should be back in business tonight.

Did my PRS1 just kick the bucket? How apropos...

This morning, about 10 minutes before my alarm was set to go off, my PRS1 stopped working. After waking up from the alarms (from the machine), I tried restarting it. With my hand on the machine, I could feel the blower try to start, stop, start, stop, start, stop, and then the machine would reset. S...

Re: amazing results with Mirage FX mask!

Wow! Nicely done. I haven't had that kind of success with the Mirage FX, but I will say that once I got it figured out, it's been pretty good to me. Still struggling with leaks around the eyes.

A hearty congratulations! I love reading success stories.

Re: I'm just wearing these masks wrong, right?

Tell us why easylife didn't work? I tried it, was ok but not perfect. Did you make sure the inside mask was properly sealed before using? Re fx, that's a nasal pillow, again tell us what problems you had. Now you're back to nasal mask? I'd stick to one form of mask, either nasal mask or nasal pillo...

Re: I'm just wearing these masks wrong, right?

UPDATE: After a second opinion ("Hey, honey, come look at this!"), it's been determined that my nose isn't hitting the lip on the elbow, but it is hitting the bottom of the mask, and that's what's causing the sore on the underside of my nose. I guess the same question still stands, however. I'm wear...

I'm just wearing these masks wrong, right?

The past week or so I've been using the Mirage FX. It's been alright... won't say great, but I'm sleeping with it all night, which was more than I could say for the Swift FX. But now I'm hitting a new problem... literally. http://c0009431.cdn.cloudfiles.rackspacecloud.com/Mirage-FX-CPAP-Mask-Parts.j...

Re: I May be Cured, Find Out How (True Story)

Glad to hear it worked. I know when I first met with the sleep specialist, he mentioned that surgery was an option, but "it has about a 50/50 shot of working", while CPAP is a 90% success rate. So it sounds like you were on that side of the tally!

Gecko Nasal Pad... Not Getting It

My ongoing saga continued with the DME giving me the Mirage FX Nasal. And after a really rough Wednesday night (not necessarily the masks fault... yeah, it leaked a little, but it got pretty cool overnight, and my phone kept going off), last night was DYNAMITE. a 3.8 AHI, 6 and a half hours with the...

Re: Swappin' Masks Again...

Just got back... First, a note: last night, while at the office, I decided I wasn't in the mood for caring, and stretched out to sleep. I brought the EasyLife with me, and when I first put it on, I realized just how tight the mask really was the night that the bleed started. No wonder I was having p...

Re: Swappin' Masks Again...

they should NOT fit inside the nostril but seal around the nares. by all means try another mask but also use some lansinoh on the nares and pillows to help the seal. Clearly I'm not trying to shove the whole pillow up my nose. I'm not even sure how you would manage that. It might be a moot point, a...

Swappin' Masks Again...

When we last left our story... I was wearing my EasyLife Nasal Mask too tight, and cut the bridge of my nose. Met with the DME, they suggested we look at different masks, and gave me a Swift FX to try out for a few days while my nose healed. That was on Thursday. Fast-forward to today. The Swift FX ...

Re: Nasal Mask

I'm only a few weeks into it too, but I'll tell you that, at least for me, it helped immensely. I was infamous for doing calisthenics in the middle of the night. The tech at the sleep lab dropped a knowledge bomb on me, though: I was rolling around because of my apnea. And, sure enough, I sleep on m...
