Does this mean it is time for me to get a new latex insert?
G'day, Geez it has been a while - that means the treatment has gone well I suppose. I love CPAP. Anyways lately I have been feeling tired in the afternoons again, sometimes a bit brain fogged and unco. I have a feeling my CPAP needs adjusting. I used to have almost no leaks at all, I have noticed af...

Re: I got complacent and now I am paying the price
That's not unsympathetic brother - that is advice that you have given me and I feel very appreciative of it. Any advice is good advice in my opinion. I am not going back to sleep though as it is morning here is Canberra Australia. I noticed you are from Texas? The surrounding area where I live - rur...

I got complacent and now I am paying the price
Hey folks, I have gotten so comfortable with my current treatment that for the last 3 days my mask leaks were slowly rising (I was failing to test the mask seal before I was going to bed) - and today I have payed the price. I woke up having a panic attack and something felt "wrong". I was too scared...

Re: Please help me find reason for vertigo
Hmm, I sometimes do feel like I am hyperventilating. That does make sense as I also suffer from OCD/anxiety disorder with the odd panic attack. Thankyou for all the helpful advice and suggestions. I am considering buying a pouch oximeter used for exercise. How does it take readings? does it have a f...

Your cat is trying to murder you! Or not, cats love buttons.

Re: Changed machine settings to see how it would go - results
Hey Max, thanks for that. That is reassuring. You are right - I need more sleep definitely!! Avi, fair call. I shall aspire to check older threads and conclude them more often. I just seem to have a lot of issues to sort (like everyone else I suppose) and my memory is not as stellar as I'd like it t...

Re: Please help me find reason for vertigo
Avi, thanks for the info, I shall take this info to the ENT doc that my GP has referred me to. Thanks for the diagram and explanation. DoriC, I am thinking of doing just that! I will have to settle for a respronics cheaper Bipap though as the Resmed one is a bit pricey here in Australia. Bill, I hop...

Re: Changed machine settings to see how it would go - results
Hey Max, Hmm, I will up the start ramp. I shall try these settings for another night after looking at the oximeter data. Thanks for the advice Max. Yeah, I am going to have to go on BP meds I think. I am still overweight (although losing weight fast) so that could be why I have high BP. I must say I...

Changed machine settings to see how it would go - results
Last night I changed my machine settings as an experiment. From the unbearable CPAP mode of pressure 20 to APAP mode min pressure 9.6 max pressure 20. My AHI was up by about one but that is about all. I haven't had vertigo this morning but my blood pressure is still high as usual. I feel OK, I think...

Re: Please help me find reason for vertigo
Thanks all for the advice, It may be crystals in my inner ear I have wondered about this, it could also be related to the mask leaks or something entirely different. It may also be the constant high pressure.. Bad breath I shall pull out my oximeter and use it again to see if the leaks are causing O...

Re: Please help me find reason for vertigo
Hey Xena, I wish my blood pressure was lower. I just took it then - it is 140/93 which is high. It is always high like that in the morning and normal by about 5pm at 120/80. If high blood pressure can make a person dizzy then that is the reason, but I am not so sure. This does seem to happen when I ...

Please help me find reason for vertigo
I have awoken today with vertigo and have had to take another day off work which I cannot afford to do. I still cannot figure out why I sometimes wake up and feel lightheaded all day with the chance of vertigo if I move my head too fast. I am seeing a doctor today and I am going to ask for a referra...

How to interpret leak numbers on sleepyhead?
Hey folks,
I am a bit confused about the leak data on sleepyhead. Can someone please take me to school on this issue? For example last nights leaks were:
MED: 4.8.
95%: 22.80
MAX: 45.6
How to I interpret each figure and is this a bad leak rate?
Thanks in advance!

Re: Stone in Subblingular Gland measuring 7mm
Hey Kay, I do not know what a subblingular gland stone is and I dare say not many other people on the forum may either but I can only speak for myself. It is probably a question for a doctor, (any doctors here?). The advice I CAN give however is that kind of medical question is a perfect one for an ...
