Re: Any Thoughts Appreciated

Rocklin, I agree with alot of the points you made. Here is a great example of a doctor who made a tremendous recovery from MS. One situation where supposedly, it is degenerative over time. http://www.terrywahls.com/ As an FYI, just so this board understand my perspective, like many people, I was tol...

I don't see a direct link but what happens when you hit the "check for updates" option under the help menu? That is how I got this version as I downloaded the previous one and it automatically updated to 0.9.2.1.

Re: DeVilbiis/Transferring data from machine/What am I missing

The software is not manufactured with the enduser in mind...it is technically written for clinicians' use only. Yeah, I do remember you mentioning that but I am just incredulous that it was deliberately done this way. Can you imagine keeping information from diabetics so they can't monitor their bl...

Re: DeVilbiis/Transferring data from machine/What am I missing

I sent you all that information via PM the other day... go back to the links I gave you including the one for the quick start guide for newbies. Thanks Emilia, will do. Sorry about that. I will probably start with Sleepyhead since Smart Link was taking forever to install. But eventually, i will sta...

Re: DeVilbiis/Transferring data from machine/What am I missing

I don't use the DeVilbiss software myself...rather I use Sleepyhead. However, the principles should be the same. You need to connect the card reader to a USB port on your computer, insert the SD card into card reader, open the software program on the computer, and then import the data into the soft...

DeVilbiis/Transferring data from machine/What am I missing

Ok, I feel like EMS and am completely baffled regarding installing the Smart Link Software package including the module. So far, I have attached the module to the back of the unit without any problems. I see how to insert data card and send off to provider which I won't be ready to do until next wee...

Re: Does EPR make a noticable difference?

I use Aflex, which I think is a similar concept. Even though my doctor's minimum settings are 9, I bumped it up to 10 with Aflex settings at 1 with the I and E settings at 3 since I am lot more comfortable. Hopefully, doing that is not causing apneas to escape. I will will find out when I install my...

Re: Intellipap/Software question

I think all the proprietary software for all machines is geared toward clinicians.... after all, they try to keep it from us at every turn Sleepyhead, from what I understand, will give you plenty of data--and maybe even more than SmartLink does. Definitely agree Anyway, I will be curious as to my d...

Re: Nasal Pillow/Nasal Masks work?/Sinus issues and dev. septum

Randy and Pugsy,

Thanks!

Let me think about it.

Right now, I actually feel some energy from taking a nap without my cpap. Sorry, I know I shouldn't but I need sleep. So I am anxious to get some things done before my energy runs out.

Re: Nasal Pillow/Nasal Masks work?/Sinus issues and dev. septum

Okay, I will look for some deals on EBay. Are you male or female? I might have an extra headgear for the Swift FX...I know I have an extra brand new Small Nasal pillow as well as an extra Large. I do not have any Mediums though. Are you game to try the Bella Loops? They run around $27 on EBay. Fema...

Re: Nasal Pillow/Nasal Masks work?/Sinus issues and dev. septum

Read what Perrybucsdad wrote here (scroll down to see his comments) http://www.cpaptalk.com/viewtopic/p663440/Mouth-Breathers.html#p663440 He has more than a mildly deviated septum and thought for sure he was only going to be able to use a FFM. He found out that he can easily use a nasal pillow mas...

@Tim - Thank you for letting know about your experiences. I am sorry you suffered sharp pain from the pillows. I hope the nasal mask is working for you. @Robysue - Thanks for responding and am glad that the nasal pillow mask has worked for you. I think my deviated septum would probably be considered...

Nasal Pillow/Nasal Masks work?/Sinus issues and dev. septum

Unfortunately, I am having horrible leaking problems with my Quattro FFX that hopefully will be resolved with a Pad a Cheek anti leak strap. However, I have started thinking whether a nasal/nasal pillow mask would be a better option when I am ready to replace this mask. I am finding this mask very a...
