Re: CPAP Newbie

The issue is trying to figure out how to sleep with the mask on as while sleeping my mouth will open and the air 'blasts' into my mouth, waking me up. Don't get discouraged. This is a common problem, and the members can help with solutions. Nasal-only masks cover the nose and not the mouth. Full-fa...

Re: Possible to transfer data from Oscar to provider?

And now I find that they charge $300 for their "Care for Life" program -- $149 if you buy a mask. As if their mark-up on the equipment isn't enough! What a racket. Which DME is this? It's OK to reveal in this forum. Someone may have experience with them that can help you. BTW, is this DME in your i...

Re: Possible to transfer data from Oscar to provider?

The new provider asked me to have the previous one send my data to her, which was not done (and likely won't be done). I have data on Oscar (previously on Sleepyhead) dating back to 2017. If your new DME is competent, they have the software to read your compliance data off your SD card. They wouldn...

Re: Kind of scared, split sleep study again after almost 20 years on PAP

When I got my official diagnosis, "second sleep test" my doctor said it was “profoundly severe” obstructive sleep apnea. I’m not ok with spending any time “asleep” without the support of my machine so they can experiment. For insurance purposes, you need to make sure your diagnosis of sleep apnea s...

Re: AirFit F30i Leakage

at higher pressures (7+), the air starts to blow out of the bottom part of the mask that surrounds my mouth (it's just a soft flap of plastic and the air just starts pushing through that flap). The rest of the headgear is fairly tight already, so I'm not sure what more can be done to stop the leak....

Re: leaks! mask liners?

Will talk to my eye doc about Nasacort. She had me stop Flonase when I developed glaucoma and said that nasal steroids can be a cause. Good idea. Nasacort is a steroid and it is certainly possible to have steroid-associated intraocular pressure elevations from nasal steroids. Fortunately, most pati...

You are comparing sound abatement foam (Philips - PE-PUR) with air filter foam (Lowenstein - polyester).

You want to see apneas in your report? Turn the machine mode to CPAP and the pressure to 4.0.

I hope not.
Are you thinking OSCAR for Pacemakers, tape your lips, some leak is OK, turn down the humidity level, 20-200 BPM is the machine default, raise your minimum, how to enter clinical menu??
