Re: Help picking a DME

For the past couple of years, I was using a local DME, mainly because they went out of their way to get the Bleep Mask for me, but about six months ago, when i wanted to reorder the Bleep, they said they determined they would no longer carry the Bleep . . . Since then, I switched to AeroFlow for my ...

Re: newbie—can you help with mask choose (Asian female) & air settings

I am also Asian Female, was given sleep apnea diagnosis 10 years ago - Been through several different machines, masks, and a number of overnight sleep studies. I had initially started with the auto cpap, then to the bipap, and then to the ASV - I wanted to get a new ASV and had moved to an area that...

Re: Phillips / Philips Respironics recent recall notice discussion thread

I seem to be stuck at the stage of needing to call "Please reach out to us at 888-511-2797 for assistance. and give them my Dr.'s info, and all of my info. I've tried calling the number listed, but haven't been successful at getting through or getting a callback. Does anyone have any suggestions? I...

Re: Phillips / Philips Respironics recent recall notice discussion thread

Something new I noticed on the Philips status updates website- for the units of mine that said Prescription Required- it changed the part where it said the doctor needs to fax the prescription plus the patient info to a Philips fax number- now it says to call a phone number what you should be ready ...

Re: Phillips / Philips Respironics recent recall notice discussion thread

Recently I contacted my current DME, not the one where I originally got my System Ones from - to inquire their advice on the status of one of my system ones saying the replacement has been shipped to my DME. The person was very nice and willing to assist me to make contact with her Philips represent...

Re: Phillips / Philips Respironics recent recall notice discussion thread

My doc faxed prescriptions for the System One 50 and System One 60 last week, but the status is still showing "please fax us your prescription." anyone else seen anything change at the portal when they faxed the prescription? Mine said that for around 2 or 3 weeks and now it says that my replacemen...

Re: CPAP store that accepts insurance that actually has an AirSense 11 in stock?

In September, I was in search of a DME that had a ResMed Autoset 10 or 11 available and I called several locations in my area, and everybody told me that they were difficult to order and estimated 3 to 6 months, but no guarantee of that time frame. I finally decided to have my order for my new autos...

Re: Phillips / Philips Respironics recent recall notice discussion thread

I called Respironics today to see if they could tell me which DME it was being shipped to - the person on the phone said they cannot see that information, that they only see the same thing we can see when we log on to check our status . . . they said likely they will send it to a DME that is accepti...

Re: Phillips / Philips Respironics recent recall notice discussion thread

Checked my status of replacement today- it used to say that it wasn't matched to a DME and requested either I sync up with the dream mapper or have my Doctor fax my prescription - I had my doctor fax my prescription - and now the status says that my DME will receive my replacement machine and the DM...

Re: CVS HealthHubs

Last month when I was in search of a DME that had ResMed Autoset available, the medicare website search showed 2 CVS locations in my area, that were supposedly approved for CPAP - BUT, when I went to the CVS to inquire, they said they only accept very few insurance plans and that they do not accept ...

Re: My New ResMed Autoset 11

0.5 is a bit high for me . EPR of 3 brings it down. If you seem to be sleeping well and feeling energetic during the day, I would continue with the settings as per your aforementioned plan. Thank you for the link with the discussion on the EPR = that helps a lot. For me, the EPR only seems to impac...

Re: My New ResMed Autoset 11

Thanks for the feedback regarding experimenting . . . I don't have much of an understanding of the benefits of EPR . . . So I haven decided that Instead of experimenting with the settings I will stay with the original settings my doc had given and just leave it on EPR level 1 for the ramp only (orig...

Re: My New ResMed Autoset 11

It sounds as though EPR works well for you. Do try 3 and see how you like it. I'd suggest making sure your minimum is no less than 7 so you'll have your drop of 3 throughout the night. Yes my minimum is at 7 on my autoset- I didn't do as well with the EPR at 3, had a few more events last night but ...

Re: My New ResMed Autoset 11

Did you look at your Flow Limitations line in OSCAR? The flow limit was mostly under .5 and a couple of jumps to .75 Last night was the same, 1 clear airway and 1 hypopnea, and the pressure level was averaging just under 8. I did put the EPR for the whole night instead of just ramp only, at the lev...
