Re: Need help, suspect UARS. Want to try APAP - need advice and guidance.
My other option is to pay £500-600 and go privately to see an ENT, which means I could see them next week. I do wonder if it's something like Polyps causing my nasal issues, I don't know if it's possible something like that could be the cause of my RDI of 15? Or if it's just preventing me using the...

The for Her mode blows air while awake exactly like the regular mode. If you had difficulty while awake with air movement and comfort....it was the congestion not the mode. Ah, okay that's good to know - thanks pugs! Current battle is fine tuning my diet to alleviate it enough to use it. So far tod...

Re: How to get rid of centrals
DankShroud, You can see that before the CAs, your airway was fully open (based on the high peak flow rates), so after a few breaths under high pressure, the need for breathing efforts is temporarily reduced, kinda like hyperventilation. For sleep quality, you need to optimize the pressure settings t...

Doesn't palatal expansion mess up with the bite? usually you need an orthodontist for that

Re: Treatment resistant depression and UARS
Hi, I have a question for anyone that is dealing with UARS. I am currently on disability for severe treatment resistant depression (28 unsuccessful med trials over 18 years, electroconvulsive therapy, many doctors, lots of therapy, tried exercise and meditation, etc). I recently had a sleep study -...

Re: What should I share from Sleepyhead?
I finally did it. I ordered a cheap tongue restraining device, suctioned it to my tongue, and crammed the bulb under a full face mask. I wore a foam cervical collar and a weighted backpack and set my pressure to 16-20. I got this bitch down to 0.3 events per hour. My lips are numb, my tongue is on ...

Re: Newbie: Still tired and frustrated
Esel, what events are you looking at, and what would you like to see? agree with Esel. how about setting pressure to a tighter range like 15/12 and see what happens? those clustered OA might be due to central apnea caused by very high PAP pressure OR obstructive apnea during REM sleep in a supine po...

Re: My worse symptoms... can anyone relate?
I can relate. I am 35, 5'10, was 220 lb three month ago and now 185 lb. depression and fatigue (more precisely, it's a lack of mental stamina) are my symptoms I can speak from my experiences that you need look no further than sleep disturbed breathing. it's actually common, especially in mid-aged ma...

Do you sleep on your back most of the time? if so, trying sleep on your side might help somewhat

Re: Too mild to warrent attention?
Peter,
Highly likely you have OSA..
85% is non-trivially low oxygen saturation. anything below 90% should raise alarm.
I would certainly see a skilled sleep doctor ASAP given the Ventricular Tachycardia situation.

Re: Newbie: Still tired and frustrated
leak is controlled and the events apparently clustered in REM stage. 7 cm is very low pressure. I would say increase pressure gradually to the point that you are still comfortable with and leaks are still controlled. My experience is fixed pressure actually feels more comfortable than auto but surel...
