Re: suggestions for mask - I have jaw pain?
I have had Temporomadibular Disorder (TMD) a form of jaw pain for the past 25 years. It was brought on from an adverse reaction to a medication where my tongue would uncontrollably push on my bottom teeth and cause very bad jaw pain (tardive dyskenia). It took a long time to get a handle on this pr...

Re: PLease take this poll, Do you CPAP during the day?
I gave up trying to nap in the day because I just can't fall alseep, but when I did try, I always used cpap. I am lucky to sleep 2-4 hrs at night with cpap for the last 4 months so I wish I could hose up and nap during the day!

Re: Can the mask make a difference?
I still have nights that I can't stand my mask. I will put on my trusty favorite and in a few minutes I am ready to throw it across the room. I then just pull out another mask and try it. I have been known to go through several in one night. This may be due to insomnia. I am just not yet able to se...

Re: Resmed S9 Humidifier issue
I'm having an issue with the humidifier on my S9, but I'm beginning to think it's just the way the machine works. I've got the Climate control turned on under clinician settings, so my choices are 68-86 degrees. I'm well aware I can turn this off, and separately set humidity and temperature, but ha...

Re: Suggestions for nasal mask
I like the ResMed Swift FX Nano. I thought of the Nano but like the Wisp, I think it touches close to the nose and that's where I have a problem. I think I need something wider. Maybe there's not such thing since they all use cushions. Before I ordered the Nano from Cpap.com, I had already cut out ...

Re: Sleeping Longer on new Waterbed
We had water beds from 1980 until 5 yrs ago. The last two were softside with a few weeks on a Latex mattress in between. Our softsides tended to mold on the inside of the zip quilted cover for some reason. We kept the soft side bed frame/head board and bought our sleep number bed/mattress. We love b...

Re: swift fx nano mask
Am going to order a cushion to try with my fx headgear, and wondered if anyone has experience with their sizing? I wear a standard in most masks, and wonder if that would be the one to use with the Nano. I printed out the sizing guide to try the sizes. The small cut out laid right against the side ...

Re: How do you clean your Sleepweaver Elan?
Try hand washing it in Woolite or something like Tide free n clear. A friend in this group who uses and loves the Elan always uses woolite and has good luck with that.
It's worth hand washing, it dries really fast. Good luck!

Re: Reviews for the new ResMed Swift FX Nano
I tried the FX Nano mask last night. Very good first night with it!! I am hoping that I have the same results a few nights in a row because right now I'd say THIS is the FIRST mask I've had no discomfort, no leaks, no strap marks in the morning and I tend to move around a LOT during the night due to...

Re: Changing the Humidity on ResMed9 Autoset?
Really Pugsy? That's a strange setup. The default setting for the ClimateLine when it gets attached is for "Automatic" which means that the machine will try to maintain 80% delivered humidity no matter what the temperature and that's why only temperature is available to be changed. That's the way m...

Re: RE: my humidifier problem
I use a S9 and climate hose and to keep my sinuses from drying out I am on 6 on the tank and 75 degrees on the hose. I was on 5.5 and 83 degrees but it was too hot as the night progressed. I use about half a tank in 6.5 hours, I may have to increase the hose temperature as winter comes on. My only ...

Re: RE: my humidifier problem
Just in case anyone checks back: DME gave me a slim line hose to try. I had so much water in the hose that either I got rained out or the hose gurgled loudly so either way within 4 hrs I was awake to drain the water/change masks. My RT said he felt this was a good indication that the climate line wa...

Re: Resmed S9 Elite Humidifier
@djd52 I haven't noticed any dryness in my nose or throat at all, but noticed that for the first time since I've had the machine (coming up on 2 years in November), it hadn't seemed to use any water. I'm in CT, and we do get muggy, humid summers, but it's been cool and dry lately. I'll have to keep...
