Re: OT: non-drug treatments for anxiety and depression

Just a small tip: reduce or eliminate the amount of simple sugars that you eat in the form of candy, white flour, etc. I find that high amounts of sugar and high glycemic carbs cause mood swings. Hope this helps!

Re: Sinus infections - too much humidity?

If you have had recent infections all the bacteria might not have been killed off, they might be hanging around waiting for the "perfect storm" conditions like inflammation to happen. I haven't had a recent sinus infection but I did take antibiotics for a different problem a few weeks ago. I hadn't...

Re: Sinus infections - too much humidity?

Since you are already using a relatively low humidity setting...try higher and see if it helps and it will likely take 2 or 3 days maybe to see if it helps or not. Now if you are blowing brown, green, or yellow stuff out of your nose....go see a doctor as that does indicate an infection but if the ...

Sinus infections - too much humidity?

I've used my machine for a little over two weeks and now I have one of the worst sinus infections I have ever had. Is there any way to avoid this? Re: Newbie here: How should pillows fit?

Thanks Oak, I will check about mask returns. My doctor seemed to really like this one in particular so I'm going to give it a couple of weeks. Pugsy, thanks for the links! I found this hanger on Amazon for less than $12, including shipping: http://www.amazon.com/DuraCare-Premium-Cpap-Hose-Holder/dp/...

Re: Newbie here: How should pillows fit?

Thanks so much for the advice and links Pugsy, I just tried to fit the mask again using Mask Arrayed's technique. I think you are right, the back straps were too tight. I just made them looser. Kaiasgram, I checked the fit of the pillows once again and I really think the larger sizes are too big. Th...

Newbie here: How should pillows fit?

Just got my new CPAP two days ago and I'm really trying to make it work. Background: I was actually diagnosed with sleep apnea 7 years ago, had one of the old machines, tried about four different masks, and just couldn't tolerate having something on my face at night. But I still woke up with headach...
