Re: Swift FX for her mask observation

My dad used to say an inch wasn't much unless it was added to the end of your ......nose. There is not a lot of tolerance in mask fitting!

This is sad news. 49er was a helpful fellow human being. May she rest in peace and rise in Glory. God bless you, Vivian.

Re: In the market for a new CPAP machine.

Smaller, lighter, quieter and heated hose were big upgrades for me. I like the Airsense 10 for her very much. The Fisher and Paykel Brevida nose pillow has a diffuser on it that makes exhaling silent with no blowing air on your partner, another big improvement.

Re: Think it's time for an upgrade, need advice.

After 4.5 years of daily use, my Remstar died. Insurance wouldn't replace until 5 years, so I bought an identical lightly used machine from secondwind.com. Re: Brevida - who uses XS/S pillows and wants to trade?

I'm in the US and would be happy to swap my M/L for you XS/S. It's not in a sealed package because it came attached to the mask, but. It is unused. PM me we your address and I will reply. I'm liking this new mask a lot, by the way, after 6 years of Swift LT.

Re: After your initial diagnosis did you get to meet w/a Dr.?

I was originally encouraged by my dentist to get checked for apnea. I asked my care provider (a physician assistant in a family care practice). She said sure, I'll set it up. I use a cpap for apnea myself. The sleep clinic my insurance used was in a resort hotel. Show up at 8pm, get prepped by the t...

I can recommend secondwindcpap.com for a lightly used model. They were great to work with.
