Re: Newly diagnosed...HELP!

Also ask your insurance company if your DME is part of your network, and what is the network allowable is for the CPAP. The $3.000 cost is an exaggeration. The actual cost will be much lower.

Durable Medical Equipment.

It's also what we call the companies that sell DME.

Re: Conumdrum - Good Days, Bad Days why?

Every day is different. Temp, humidity, air pressure, mood, pollen, stupid cars with booming bass change every day (except the stupid cars with booming bass). And it all effects your sleep.

Keep working at it. Even the worst night on the "pap is better than a night without it.

Re: Just ordered apap - nervous

Despite your deductible, I would reconsider and run the Apap through your insurance. Assuming your DME is in network, your insurance company has negotiated substantial discounts for services that the DME must write off.

Silly question...What does the machine do different between a full face and a nasal mask?

Re: Rule/LAW that says DMEs can't deliver supplies automatically

My DME keeps wanting me to sign up for a program that will automatically send me supplies per the Medicare guidelines!

I keep ignoring them.

Re: New - Introduction

My advice is always..."Patience".

It takes time to change sleeping and breathing patterns.

Have patience and ask lots of questions. There are some really smart people here with good advice and knowledge.

Good luck!

Re: Night #2 on CPAP & Dreading It

I remember my first week was rough.

The second week I caught a a major league cold!

Have patience. You can't expect to undo years worth of sleep habits in a few days. Stick with it!
