Re: Are there physical retail stores that sell CPAP supplies?
Even if you're still paying deductible, it makes sense to go through the DME for it, IMO. First, as mentioned it counts towards your deductible. Second, the allowable insurance prices are CHEAPER than those on cpap.com from what I've seen. I got an invoice with my Simplus FFM that said insurance al...

Re: Selling a cpap...Advice
The one I already have I'm keeping and I paid for. The one I'm selling is to pay for it since insurance wont cut me a check (didn't buy it from an 'approved' vendor). Right. That's fraud. Probably won't work anyway because of compliance checks your insurance company almost certainly wants... althou...

Re: Tremendous success with MAD device, no longer need CPAP
Perhaps so, but I just don't have the confidence in such a device that I have in CPAP. Hey me either; and most people who try this are in denial or just can't tolerate CPAP. But I think it's reasonable for someone who's honest with themselves to be able to evaluate whether or not it's working witho...

Re: Tremendous success with MAD device, no longer need CPAP
Just determining that your O2 was good during the night does not mean you do not have SA. What problems would somebody have if their SA wasn't severe enough to cause desats or arousals, and they get good sleep? sleep apnea, by definition causes arousals and fractured sleep. therefore your question ...

Sleep MD prescribed a CPCP with pressure of 14 along with a NUANCE PRO MEDIUM PILLOW. Can anybody suggest me a CPAP machine with full data recording capability and the website to order? http://i.imgur.com/IB4T6fP.png Top one is cheaper, constant (but adjustable) pressure - will meet your prescripti...

Sorry...I tried several different methods, but I cannot see your video. Darn, probably nobody else either then. Is there any free sites that I can upload a video from my phone & get a URL to share it? Cannot figure how to get it from my phone onto here another way. Vimeo is a good one, but it's a l...

Re: need some fast advice on getting first cpap
DME wants $130 up front plus $70 a month for 13 months. OK as you've figured out - that's REALLY expensive. And it probably doesn't include your mask and other supplies. And that deductible crossing over into next year point was spot on. And as has been noted, you don't really know how well you wil...

Re: Saw my sleep doctor today - a question
In the general stuff about my therapy, she asked my about how many apnea patients have an out of office relationship with their doctor. She wanted to know if my ability to send and receive emails to her was common amongst apnea patients. I really didn't know and thought I would ask. Why did she thi...

Re: CPAP for colonoscopy, or is oxygen sufficient?
I suspect that many of us are conscious during the procedure, but we have drug-induced amnesia; so we only think we have been "out". But of course there has been some push lately for general anesthesia. I remember thinking "OK, when is this stuff going to take effect?" Then I remember waking up. Th...

Well the sledgehammer approach would be to have a waking machine and a sleeping machine. The waking machine could pretty much be a cheap brick because you don't need any data off of it.
