Re: Thank you, Pugsy, for Bleep mask review!
This is the first I've heard of it. It looks like it's pretty expensive as an ongoing cost. Are people having luck with insurance coverage?

Well now isn't this insulting. He doesn't seem to think very highly of...anyone but himself? I tried CPAP and was convinced I would never tolerate it. And I was on auto CPAP the "better technology" he suggests will solve all problems (I don't deny that most auto-cpap is better than most straight CPA...

Glad you were able to get some sleep at the lab and get the results you were hoping for.

Re: Two new Resmed Masks---coming soon?
F & P has the new nasal pillow mask called the Brevida. Available right now only in Australia and New Zealand but will eventually make it's way here. https://www.fphcare.co.nz/brevida/ I am not interested in a nasal cushion or full face mask but I think the Brevida looks interesting so I will proba...

I guess I'm in the minority. I enjoy reading about the different ways people use various types of technology, old or new, so I thought it was an interesting question.

Re: Another ResMed APAP brick just released
Maybe lack of remote compliance monitoring will be enough to dissuade DME's from dispensing them. And if your doctor prescribes a heated hose and these really don't have that capability, the DME can't dispense it. DME's don't get more reimbursement for data capable machines, but they do for heated h...

Re: Resmed air sense 10 or dream station
Both machines are great machines from great companies. The Airsense has been out a bit longer and if you're using the Autoset mode that's a bit gentler than the Dreamstation. The Dreamstation has a separate humidifier and more flexibility for powering it if you travel. It just is personal preference...

I've never heard of the 3B Luna before and had to look it up. Do you THINK they MAY have been trying to make it look like the S9 at all?
Good for you for doing your research and demanding you get a GOOD machine!

Re: Could really use help selecting a machine, possible UARS.
Have you had any kind of titration study to know what pressure you may need? The exhaled pressure relief on a cpap may be sufficient for comfort if you require lower pressures. Being able to get away with a cpap would save you a ton of money, being out of pocket, unless you get really lucky with a d...

I used the CPAP-Fit pillow from Amazon. It doesn't seem to be on Amazon any more. I'm not sure what happened to it. It's great, though.

Re: Travel machine
The biggest way travel machines cut size is by cutting the humidifier. I'd suggest trying your S9 without the humidifier (if you haven't already) to see how you tolerate it.

How long have you been using the Allegra and Flonase? They both require routine use to be effective if allergies are a problem for you. For a short term solution to congestion, you can use neosynephrine nasal spray for up to 3 days to quickly help. I agree with your doctor that by and large, nasal m...

Re: Goodbye, AirFit P10. Call me when you're improved....
Yep, the P10 was the closest I found to a mask that worked before the Dreamwear was out, but those straps are ridiculous. I'd roll over once and the pillows would be in my eyes. They didn't hold the mask in place at all. I wish the Dreamwear had the venting that the P10 has. That venting is ingeniou...
