Re: 6 Year Old Newly Diagnosed with OSA/CSA
Respironics has AVAPS and ResMed has iVAPS machines for hypoventilation. He does not quite qualify for AVAPS: including children as young as seven years of age and who weigh more than 40 pounds. but iVAPS is approved for children: Pediatric clearance — cleared to treat pediatric patients weighing m...

And it's not necessary to report back what you've done, for: "But you, when you give out free CPAP machines, anoint your head and wash your face so that your handing out supplies and equipment will not be noticed by men, but by your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees what is done in s...

Re: Is there a reason for this?
If Accurate Biomed failed to this extent I would expect and we would deserve to be called out and have to respond in some fashion. Well then PM Tracy and tell her you're sending her a refurb (don't suppose you've got an AirSense for Her yet, do you?) and working out a payment plan! Thanks, you're t...

Re: Exercise Induced Hypertension?
So now I'm looking at that heart rate of 33 (which in it of itself is major panic because it shouldn't go below 40 (the backup electrical system should bail you out). Back to the schematic, with that profound bradycardia you have an almost insurmountable amount of ground to make up if you don't want...

Re: Exercise Induced Hypertension?
Well, Morbius, you've lost me. There are 2 things that happen in order to stay alive: Oxygen gets from the air and into the blood; and Blood is pumped to organs and periphery. I'm in better shape than average for a 60 year old. If you're on supplemental oxygen... Anyway, there are 5 factors that co...

Re: Returning after a long absense
Still, though, I'm always tired, which means that likely I'm spending more time on my back than I'm aware of, during my sleep. Sleep apnea severity is not necessarily static-- it may get worse over time or with weight gain (assuming that sleep apnea is the culprit). Or your REM may not be protected...

Re: Returning after a long absense
According to the sleep study, they are not all that uncommon just at the moment of crossing over into unconciousness, and the solution is first that the machines today are apparently better at reacting to that situation than they used to be... Sleep onset centrals are a normal phenomenon as the pCO...
