When I woke up, my wrist pulse ox said 82%. It was cold in the room, and my finger felt cold when I took the probe off, so... hopefully it was an erroneous reading. Another thing I'm curious about is that I've only been on ASV Bilevel for a week, and my lungs and upper airway feel kind of strange w...

Re: How do you guys clean out your cpap hose?
I wash it with some clear and free dish liquid, rinse with tap water, and then rinse with distilled water. Have done this after the first week of use. Thinking it can probably go two weeks without a cleaning now.

Re: Another possibly stupid question about back sleeping.
Centrals aren't usually positional. They are more of the brain not sending the message to breathe and that can happen in any sleeping position. Obstructive events related to soft tissue sagging can be made worse when sleeping on one's back if they sag enough and gravity helps out. So it's not uncom...

Re: Another possibly stupid question about back sleeping.
With an AHI of .21...FORGET ABOUT IT. Any events are insignificant. Before my sleep doctor messed with my pressure settings, my AHI was over 1, but yeah, not too high, and I hope it stays low. Again, in the lab, on night 1, my onset central desatted down to 72%. I miss being able to sleep on my tum...

Re: how tight does the mask really have to be?
I've been having a similar problem; and hearing the occasional farty mask noise, so the DME is scheduled to do a fitting at my house, tomorrow. I was never measured and fitted in the lab. My My ResMed F10 mask has left a pressure sore on the left side of the top of my nose, and sometimes when I wake...

Another possibly stupid question about back sleeping.
Does back sleeping cause more central apneas to occur? Please keep in mind that I've only been on therapy for 5 days. I'm a total noob, and I admit it. I know very little about all of this. I've been running Sleepyhead, and the numbers look good, but there is one page that doesn't work, as my machin...

Re: Any Reviews of New ResMed AirFit F10
My AirFit F10 is leaky, too, and I am on an ASV. Last night, I woke up to the sound of my chin being farted on by my mask.

Stomach and side sleeping in an FFM? Please help.
Hi, I have been side and (barely) stomach sleeping, wearing my ResMed Airfit F10 mask, It has been leaking a bit more on the last two nights. Last night, it leaked under my chin, and on the sides, and the night before, it leaked on the bridge of my nose. I now have a pressure sore on the left side o...

Re: Do you, or have you had problems with Aerophagia?
As I have said before, I'm tootin' louder than a whoopie cushion. Is it (they) saying "My sleep is bad!! My sleep is bad!!" I take my night dose of 0.055 g Clonazepam Must be hard to break apart those pills like that. TS, don't know anyone taking clzm whose sleep is "good" (imcluding PLMs). Thankfu...

Re: Do you, or have you had problems with Aerophagia?
Sleep onset centrals....quite normal to have and normally not a problem in most people. The become a problem when they either cause significant oxygen level drops because they either are numerous or very prolonged or they cause a problem because they keep kicking a person out of sleep so they don't...

Re: Back sleeping
Basically, in a nutshell, back sleeping is best avoided because gravity can have its way with your tongue, uvula and rest of the back-of-throat area so much more easily in that position. You're much more likely to have an apnea or hypopnea in that situation. A few can even take care of their apea i...
