Re: High pitched noise when inhale

Once in a while, I hear a whistle from my ResMed machine (3 identical ones actually). I have found that it is caused by an air leak between the humidifier module and the main body of the unit. I just reach over and reinsert the humidifier and that has always worked.

Re: OT: Quell Pain Relief

Since my wife and I have been Quell users for since their beginning I thought that I would offer some of our (really my) experiences with Quell. We both suffer from chronic pain, but for totally different reasons; for me, it is my messed-up back, and for my wife, it is because of her having multiple...

Re: Is anyone using any sleep tech (cooling pad, sheets, etc)

I purchased a grounding pad for my bed several months ago, If you don't know what I'm talking about just do a search for "grounding/earthing". There is a lot of info about it on the internet. So......I am not pushing this by any means but a few days ago I had the pad off for one night for washing a...

Re: Is anyone using any sleep tech (cooling pad, sheets, etc)

One of the most things critical to good sleep is having a cool to a cold bedroom (about 65 degrees or less). Nope if my bedroom or bed was that cold I would never sleep. And I am saying that with a busted a/c its 97 inside and 108 outside at 7pm. Btw folks never ever get a home warranty. They are a...

Re: Is anyone using any sleep tech (cooling pad, sheets, etc)

I believe that you ask the same question on another Board. For the possible interest of the folks on this Board, below is an almost (a couple of corrections) copy and paste from there: "Yes, we have been using a product called a ChilliPad (or now ChilliCub) for several years. It is a great product. ...

Re: Less than 1 week on KETO Diet - Big Increase in AHI

Just thought of one other thing. Make sure that you are drinking a lot of water. One Keto expert that I was reading yesterday recommended one ounce of water per pound of body weight (200-pounds of body weight equals 200 ounces of water). That is a lot of water, more than I am currently able to get d...

Re: Less than 1 week on KETO Diet - Big Increase in AHI

I have been on a Keto Diet now for about 8 weeks and there have not been any changes in my sleep or AHI. If you dived straight into a Keto diet with very low carbs (<30 grams per day) then your body will go through some changes. In my case, I went to 20-30 grams of carbs per day and have not noticed...

Re: Military Going Keto?

Thank you Janknitz for taking the time and effort for providing such a great response. You must be a good writer it take me all day to post a message as long as yours. Sounds like your family has this diet thing down pat. Just my wife and me here, so far less problems to work around. My wife does al...

Re: Military Going Keto?

Thank you Janknitz for your suggestions and what I take as words of encouragement for a Keto numbie. One of my biggest problems adapting is learning to like foods that I previously really did not care for that much. Veggies are the main example, never have been a big vegetable eater with some except...

Re: Military Going Keto?

the Keto Diet ... you can hardly eat anything. That's the secret - calorie restriction. Nothing more. (Diabetics are the exception.) Not true. Calories are important, but dropping nearly all the carbs is what makes the Keto diet work, and fast. I would not have lost a pound based strictly on counti...

Re: Military Going Keto?

Based on the previous posts, I appear to be the only person that is actually on the Keto Diet. It was highly recommended to me by my cardiologist, I asked him if he got kicked out of med school (glad to see at least one cardio doc. that has not been snowed by big Pharma about fats in the diet). I ne...

Thanks all for your answers; a lot of good information. As I mentioned before, I have not had a need for any for a long time. That said, I better get to the drug store and buy some; probably will need before weeks end LOL.

Re: CPAP and a cold

"Afrin (only at night so as not to become dependent)" I have wondered a couple of times if this true. I can count on one hand, one finger actually, the number of times that I have used Afrin for many years. If only at night (basically 1/2 of a daily dose) reduces the risk of rebound congestion, I w...

Re: Can't open " NoClean sued for false advertising."

I use Chrome and the links provided work fine (yesterday and today). I have no explanation for your problem; maybe some security issue being flagged in your system. If you are using W10 you should have both Explorer 11 and Edge on your computer. If so, try one of those.

Re: Sleepyhead vs Oscar

I added OSCAR to both of my computers (both running W10) and they are working great. No installation issues at all. For redundancy, all data is synced between the two computers automatically, and I have both cloud and local external hard drive backup (I know, I am anal when it comes to backup, but I...
