Re: Dry Mouth with Full Face Mask
Try a chinstrap underneath the mask. I have used the basic resmed one and it stays in place due to the mask straps. Or you can lower your maximum pressure a bit. For me my mouth opens more when my machine goes to higher pressures so I lower my maximum. I have not noticed a difference in AHI. Not sur...

Re: Any Airtouch F20 Tips?
I've tried the F30i and hate it, the venting is incredibly loud and blows air everywhere. I have to tighten the straps very tight to get any sort of a seal whatsoever. I just don't think the mask fits my face well.

Any Airtouch F20 Tips?
I am trying desperately to get the Airtouch F20 to work for me but I am having issues. I prefer full face masks but in the middle of the night this mask will wake me up and leak into my eyes or around my mouth. I fit the mask perfectly and test it before going to bed but it still seems like slight m...

Re: Is my doctor accurate?
So I was able to access Oscar on my ancient laptop after some struggle lol. Not sure what information is important for people to see as there is a lot of it. Basically I have a lot of apnea events after about two hours of sleep and I would assume this is from supine sleeping. I roll over on my back ...

I have an ancient laptop that I totally forgot I had fixed recently. I will see what I can do with Oscar.

Is my doctor accurate?
So recently I had an appt with my sleep doctor. According to my sleep studies I had years ago, most of my apnea was central with some obstructive events. She said that the machine is not good at detecting central events because I said to her that my machine never shows many central events, they are ...

Aerophagia Issues...
So over the past few months I have lost about 20 lbs or so, and reduced my pressure a bit because of this. My pressure was straight 15 but I was getting really bad gas and aerophagia in the mornings from this. I tried pressure of 14 recently but I feel like crap at it and have much less energy, but ...

Re: CPAP makes me cough
Thanks for your response. I’m using nose pillows. I used my cpap last night for the first time in a week and woke up coughing for the first three hours I was awake. I just can’t figure out what the he’ll is causing it. Thinking about trying it without any humidity tonight. Just to see if it changes...

Re: CPAP makes me cough
This happens to me if I am breathing through my mouth. What mask are you using? The dryness can cause a cough throughout the day. Look into purchasing a chinstrap to keep your mouth closed. Even if you are using a full face mask you can still use a chinstrap, I have in the past because the breathing...

Mouth breathing but no leakage...
So I know I have been breathing through my mouth lately because my mouth is very dry when I wake up and sometimes I will wake in the middle of the night from opening my mouth. My machine has shown zero leakage throughout this. I tightened my chin strap last night because of the mouth breathing and I...

Do you use ramp?
I have experimented with it and I seem to feel better when I turn it off. There is no real reason for this because my AHI is not better when I have it off, I can’t explain it. Has anyone else experienced this? What is your opinion of ramp?

Re: Airfit P10 Leaking every night...
No clue what is going on but I tested the new assembly and hose again and I got 6 L/min leakage after testing for about 5 minutes. No idea why that is happening but I think there is also a tear or hole in the other assembly kit I purchased. This is so stupid, I am going back to my Philips Nuance mas...

Re: Airfit P10 Leaking every night...
I did the test for about 5 minutes and it showed the leakage as 6 l/min. The only thing is I repositioned the cushion at one point and wasn't sure if I did that when I was running the mask fit or when I was just using the mask. The mask felt different when I replaced the assembly kit so I think the ...

Re: Airfit P10 Leaking every night...
I have had enough of this and replaced the assembly kit and the hose just to make sure it was not the hose that was faulty. We will see what the leakage is tonight. I inspected the P10 small hose and large ClimateLine hose and did not notice any holes or anything that would obviously be causing this.

Re: Airfit P10 Leaking every night...
Yes every night I would clean the vent holes with a toothbrush and wash them. I have continued doing that with the new frame. I am at a loss as to why I am getting so much leakage every night.
